Hello there.

Just wanna share something that worries me...

In the last 12 months, I have had almost 100 WA referrals, but not a single one has been updated to Premium membership.

I must do something wrong... :(

Anyways, I gotta figure it out...
Have a nice weekend :)

Buddy I am the same, over 100 referrals but no sign up. I will be reading the below comments carefully for advice.
I think this has to be promoted either on a YouTube channel like Roope or using a PPC campaign. i sort of wonder if you get detailed advice or a step by step way to do it, or will it be kept close to the chest. Lol.

Big on conspiracies at the moment...hahahaha.

Steve

I have a YouTube channel with more than 100 videos. Videos related to the MMO niche contain links in the description, and I recommend watching the video where I explain what WA is all about.

Well, by now they have not received a lot of views...

Thanks, Steve, for your comment, and I hope you get more sign-ups soon!

Cheers
Mike

What's your YouTube link,

Steve

Here's the link:

480 subscribers to go...yahoo..

A lot of people will sign up for five things a day then forget about them. Keep building your message and get them to return.

I'm waiting on all natural traffic from Google to find my review and click on links. I'm getting clicks but no signups, however I'm still very new to this affiliate marketing.

To have that many signups with no upgrades to premium, makes me wonder how many are fake accounts.

That's a good point.
And I did find some fake accounts. Some of them are easy to spot, others... I am not so sure...

As for the traffic, I do not rely solely on Google anymore. I have also YT channel and try to leverage Pinterest and X.

On top of that, I use LinkedIn and Medium where I also post articles with links to my website.

Good morning Mike,

I do understand where you're coming from, in fact it's a really good question. I very much like what Vitaliy and Dave Hayes have said in the comments, that makes a lot of sense. I really hope you can turn the situation around.

Have a great day.

Roy

Thanks for your comment Roy.

I definitely have some actionable ideas on my mind already.

Have a great day as well,
Mike

It's a pleasure, Michal!

That's good to hear that you have some actual ideas, at least your getting referrals which is great.

Wishing you all the best.

Roy

Hey, Michal. With all the tips and tricks in the comments, I hope you can find a solution. I have 9 referrals and none of them are premium as well. It's well.

However, you can do other things to earn on the WA. Check out my posts about other things I do besides promoting the WA program.

John

Sure,

I am thankful for all the comments.
And the other reason I posted this was to share my "frustration," and that in itself helps as well.

(You know like a "therapy" you just need to talk about your problems and that's the first step to solve them :) )

Thank John!
I'll check them out.
Have a nice rest of the weekend.

This is an awesome accomplishment!!! Congratulations

100 referrals but NONE of them upgraded

He is most probably spending $1000 on google ads every month.

Well thank you :)

But that's not enough :)
Mike

No Google ads.
No advertising.

All organic.

I got 400 referrals in 2023/24 and spent too much with only 4-5 referrals that stopped on the average of 1-3 months. Learned a lot. Want it to be more organic going forward.

Hi Mike,

We have all experienced this in the past, sometimes people join up and stay as a free member and others feel a bit more ambitious and go for premium.

Where are you advertising your Wealthy Affiliate referral link?

You can create automated emails to send to your referrals to prompt them into going premium. If you haven't already done so, go to the $ sign (top Right) and create message campaigns and schedule them to be sent out as often as you choose.

Regards

Brian

How do you send automated emails if they have only signed up as a free member. I can’t find email addresses.

I have more links for example:
on X, YT, my website and they lead to a "squeeze" page on my website with the affiliate link to WA.

As I mentioned below, I am gonna start collecting emails. And see if that changes something.

Thanks
Mike

PS
oh, and as for the new referrals I always reach out to them (with no links whatsoever) with a friendly approach.
But in most cases they don't write back.

Its all automated, the campaigns are to Wealthy Affiliate Users within Wealthy Affiliate. I am going to send YOU a message internally so you see what I mean.

Regards

Brian

Congratulations on your success on WA referrals,

This is a game of numbers, be patient and stay positive is the key. I have experienced the same at the beginning like many other members, but in time you will receive upgrades to WA.

Jeff

I agree;

I am gonna also change my strategy a bit, when it comes to collecting the leads.

Thanks Jeff,
Appreciate it.
Mike

The quality of the lead is always more important than the quantity Michal. I promote WA myself and typically the more defined the audience, the more likely they are to buy it. If you promote WA through more general MMO topics, they tend to convert at a far lower level but that would be the case for any program promotion.

That’s a great point.

I realize that one of the main issues might be the quality of my leads.
Since they come from various sources, many of them may not fully understand the Wealthy Affiliate platform or the training model before signing up.

This could lead to confusion and lower conversion rates.

To address this, I’m planning to focus on collecting email addresses first;

Instead of sending potential referrals directly to WA (via my website), I’ll have them sign up for my newsletter or another form of communication.
This way, I can educate them about the platform, provide value, and build trust before inviting them to join.

Very good and valid point Vitaliy

That's a good way to go but even with the email approach you'd still want to filter the leads via getting targeted traffic to the opt in pages first, targeted traffic here being people interested in affiliate marketing, making money online and building an online business.
