Good Or Bad: Habits Can Be Challenging
(Cover Photo: Neon sign saying "Bad Habits")
Hi Everyone,
I must say for me getting into good or better habits has been a bit more challenging than I anticipated.
Even with 5+ months of inflammation in my right arm/shoulder, I will still occasionally eat something with sugar in it.
I believe its more habit than anything and looking for some kind of solace dealing with the constant pain.
My shoulder is improving ever so slowly, I will be adding a few more things into the mix to try to help it improve.
At the same time, I am grateful because without the shoulder problems I may have never tackled eating healthier. I was just too complacent with the status quo.
I'm open to any tips of things you have used to be more consistent or strict with health changes you have had to make.
Have a great week ahead!

Hi Mel,
I used this healing meditation to battle and won cancer - https://flowinglovemeditation.com/meditation/flowing-love-meditation-with-10-minutes-silent-meditation/
In my book, Shifting Paradigms, I also wrote about using a herbal tea that has many health benefits - https://timotheuslee.com/books/
Of course, I did not rely only on these. There were many healthy practices that I shared in my book. Also, I used these alternative therapies together with conventional medicine to heal my body.
Hope this helps?
Tim
Oh no Mel, still having problems. I must admit, I'm a sugar addict myself. Every evening I promise myself that I will cut down on sugar starting with the first drink of the day.
every morning I put most of the sugar bowl into my coffee.
Don't you think its so easy to keep those bad habits going.
Do you post yourself reminders, lock away all the sugary stuff. I did hear of someone who moved all the food around in the kitchen every weekend. That way, she had to search for the food she wanted, which made her reflect on the health properties of it. It worked, she got into eating healthy food more often.
Hope you are feeling better soon my friend.

Hi Mel
I feel for you! I have an extreme sweet tooth also!
Both Hubby and I are sensitive to a group of vegetables called "Nightshades". Hubby's one elbow and one of his fingers becomes so painful that he can't use his left arm and his right hand and my right thumb and big toe becomes so painful that I can't hold a pen and walks with an awful limb. But once we've cut out all nightshades for about 6 weeks, all symptoms disappeared. I can get away with cheating once or twice not too regularly, but more than that and I'm in pain.
Here is a post about it, which explains what nightshades are, why it causes a problem, and it gives replacement suggestions, as well as a few recipes. A really well-written post. (I'm not affiliated in any way.)

I hope it helps Mel! Wishing you a speedy recovery!
