Hi Maxine!
I am so sorry you are experiencing this with Shopify.

I have been selling online since more than ten years, so what I have learnt extremely well is to READ carefully all the % a platform takes on each sale.

I was selling on Etsy and my shop was going pretty well, but at last I decided to leave the platform because of its high commissions!

So, my advices are these:
1. try to underastand in which PLAN you are currently
2. read all the commissions and % they take on each sale
3. go to your dashboard and try to understand how much they took from your sales

Once that you will understand these numbers, it will be easier to manage properly the business!

Hi Suomii,

Thank you! Your advices are sound and very appreciated. What bothers me most of all is not even the money which is simply a means of exchange.

Imagine a Shopify store owner cornering my customer and convinced them that I am a fraud because of my domain and image. Both were given to me by Shopify.

I "supposedly" took their fitzone image. This is not true. Take a look at my domain under my profile. Then, let me know if it is fraudulent. People are doing the worst just to capture a sale.

All I need to know is how to strengthen my business to prevent a similar scenario.

I am a newbie. So, I am not as versed as I should be. But, I refuse to be pushed around by unkind business owners.

I do not know who Shopify CEO's are. But, I am willing to share the screenshot of what was sent to my customer that triggered the refund and subsequent chargeback.

Maxine :)

Maxine, in my experience, new shops needs sometimes to gain people's trust, until the first good reviews come.

What I can suggest you is to have good images, very clear descriptions about what the customer will get with his/her purchase, the time of delivery, how it will be delivered, refund policies and so on.
Mostly refund policies are a garantee for the customer.

Said this, it can happen that a customer change idea and ask for the refund! They now have from 14 to 30 days to ask a refund, not because they could be scared of any scam, simply because they change their mind.

To build a more trustable shop, you can ask some friends to buy from you (of course you give them the money back) and write good reviews for your shop.

In this way, other customers will be convinced of your good faith! I never did that because I was selling on Etsy who had a protection program for the customers, so I never had this type of experience.

But try to keep your shop very clean, very professional, describe everything in detail and I don't thing this will happen again!

If you want me to check your shop, send me a message dear!

Suomi- I am trying to promote a clean fitness shop for those who are seriously interested. I have no passion for fraud or scams. Learning how to do things the right way sometimes takes a long time. I need to get this done right away. If you don't mind, I would appreciate your constructive criticism on my domain. Please look forward to hearing from me via PM.

Thank you again, my friend.

Maxine :)

Hey Maxine,

Whenever I have a technical question like this about other platforms, I head on over to my new favourite search engine called DuckDuckGo(dot)com because they have been providing me with a much better quality of help than Google has for the past two years now.

Check out the screen print below to see what DuckDuckGo served up when asked your question...

Hope you find this helpful.

Thank you, Trish.πŸ™‚

It isn't - rules have changed.

Obtaining images for affiliates is complex if you have not attained three sales in 180 days. You cannot use Amazon imagery on your website; that would be against their terms and conditions. You cannot use images via Google, as they may be copyrighted.

You can try with stock photos and leave a caption to let your visitors know that's not the real thing and to let them know you have not attained the quote to use an API - an idea.

Or use AI imaging. Like Bing Creator, Text to Image app via Canva Magic Media, DALL-E via ChatGPT-4 (paid), Leonardo.AI (free and paid), and MidJourney (paid)

Amazon has disappointed me big time.

Hey Maxine,

Tried mine just now and it works fine. Remember, we only get the Text link now and nothing else.

If you are still having issues you could try logging in with a different browser... or... clear your browser history and then log back in again.

Hope you find this helpful.

It has not been updated yet?

That would be a gliche within Jaaxy itself I got the same response just now when I clicked Bing the other two were fine.
As WA is updating many areas glitches are bound to happen.

As for fixing it there is nothing you can do yourself but contact Kyle or Carson on their profiles and let them know as Kyle and Carson handle Jaaxy not site support.

Also clearing the cache and refreshing the browser won't do anything this time.

Andre

Thank you kindly, Andre.
Since other affiliates are experiencing the same issue, there's no cause for alarm.

Kyle and Carson are busy leaders. It wouldn't seem fair distracting them with this.

Maxine :)

Most welcome Maxine it will get sorted out as with all the new changes bugs will happen.
In the meantime enjoy your day and the rest of your week.

If this doesn't fit what your issue is, then please explain your issue better than "the Bing blue button for WA Site Rank". I have to admit... you lost me on that.

Is it possible for you to give me a break, Trish?
I hope you do!

Diane says, "No."

What do you say, Abie?

My initial response was Yeah, you would.

Ok, Abie.

So, do I pay $3 and wait to pay again in June?

Or, do I have to pay $297 in November 2024?

Maxine

I don't know about June or if you have to wait.

If you want to optin BF now, that's time-sensitive... Next year, this may not be the price if you opt out; we only know the offer nearer the time.

However, if you opt-in now, you'd be locked in and grandfathered, i.e., not subject to price increases as long as you remain subscribed to the platform. The system would work out a prorated value based on your pay.

Seems better to be locked in to the $297 price now.

Yep :) Go for it.

Ok, Abie.

Hi - no, once you cancel your membership, you lose any deals and benefits you were previously grandfathered into.

However, you can take advantage of this year's Black Friday offer, which is actually a couple of dollars cheaper than your previous deal!

So, you can now pay $297 for a full year, and will again be grandfathered in at that price, unless you cancel your membership again.

Why should I lose my grandfathership, Diane?

I never canceled anything!

Health comes first before any blog post or affiliate link. That's1 why I am here now. I needed time for surgery and recovery.

From 2018 to now, Wealthy Affiliate has been my foundation for online affiliate marketing.

I maintained my domains and never went to any other platform.

Affiliates are quick to promote Black Friday deals. But, specific details for what I am asking are never readily discussed.

Personally, I refuse to promote what I do not full knowledge about.

Maxine

Sorry, I misunderstood, I apologize.

When you said you left for health reasons, I assumed you had canceled and left the platform.

Particularly with you saying that you have paid $294 since your return, which equates to 6 months at $49.

So, that made me think your previous annual membership had ended and you had resubscribed as monthly.

Either way, you can now take the same deal.

I believe Abie initially said that you would remain grandfathered anyway, but has apparently changed that answer.

It's my fault, Diane. I should've been clearer.

You've opened my eyes for sure.
