Summer Burn Out

This past month seems to of been a hard one for several of us at WA. Not only because of trying to keep up with the classes but also physically and emotionally. After all it is summer here in the USA.

I have been in the same spot. Too many commitments, illness, and family issues. These have caused me to fall behind on my goals which really depressed me. The funny thing is that when I got back to my Boot Camp training, the last task is to take some days off and regroup.! How did Kevin know that is just what I needed to see???

It seems to me that we all get so caught up in trying to accomplish all that is available here at WA that we forget to have a real life. I know I do. I want to get it done, move on to the next task, sometimes forgetting that I need to take a breather to figure out just what that will be or how it should look.

Taking care of ourselves needs to be the number 1 priority. No one else can do that for us.

If you are in this same situation, please know that the family here at WA totally get this picture. They really do care about how you are doing and how they can best help you move on.

Thanks to all who take the time to answer questions, post new training, and just letting others hear your encouragement.

Hugs

Marge

Self-care really is critical to success. So many of us just want to reach the point of success, but that success does take time, and taking a few days off to rest, and focus on things outside of WA will not hinder that path to success. Many times taking a break gives you a new outlook on things that you may not have even realized you were struggling with. Don't beat yourself up for taking a break, it's perfectly normal, and we've all been there. You've got this!

Thanks again for your help and encouragement. You are a great example to us and
I so appreciate you. Hugs

Hi there Marge. Thanks for sharing this.
We are very sorry you have had illness and family issues. Such is the nature of life, isn't it?
You are not alone on this journey. You are right in saying that the number one priority should be to take care of oneself. Otherwise, you can be of no use to anyone else.
We just had to scrap a website we spent a few months on (luckily no longer), as we finally admitted to ourselves the niche was way too big. So we started Bootcamp today which we really have enjoyed.
You see, we all have these obstacles but if we hold virtual hands, we can jump over them together as we journey to the prize; our goals.
Hugs back to you,
Colette and Philip

C and P, thanks for the like. We are all making each other better and shinning light on the path.

Thanks for your encouragement. Yes we must press on. It’s the friends that encourage each other that helps get through these times.

Hi Marge, good thoughts...yes so true commitments and trying to find the time to fit everything in!..it can be depressing at times..seems like you are not moving at all..lol..wishing you well

Yes it does.lol but to succeed it really helps to see that others go through the same.

I'm sure you are right about the taking care of ourselves. Decisions to change our lives, decision to join WA, choosing a path to learning, subsequently learning about how we personally learn, how teachable are we, is enough of WA a fit for me? And other questions pop up along the way:. Am I write for this? Plus, Marge, you remind us to add our life situations also.
Illness, this I know is a personal biggy, as I recover from congestive heart failure.
Yes, every terrain change, each pause to get your bearings, a catching a glimpse of the rear view mirror, and in every re-shouldering of the load, I'll be thinking back to this conversation, *And so happy for Marge and everyone else in our WA community, my WA community!! Thanks.
Thank you Marge.

Hi Suz, thanks for your words of encouragement. Hugs

Sometimes we just have to let life take over and catch up again at a later date.

The thing is to not let this get you down. I know that is much easier said than done.

We have to keep the bigger picture in mind and try and keep our disappointment at bay.

Derek

Thanks for your reply. Hugs

Most of us got into this with the end goal of living life on our own terms so no need to feel guilty for a bit of “you” time.

Yes, you are so right. Thanks.
