Let me start with this is not an Amazon issue. I’ve had some problems with 3 ShareAsale link sales (that I know about) not being credited to me. I’ve opened tickets
Is it worth doing business with ShareAsale if they do not respond for the companies in their network?
I get what your saying. My niche affiliate companies are mostly with ShareAsale so that’s not really an option. I think somehow the companies are accountable not ShareASale, at least that’s there position. I’m specifically having trouble getting one company to do the right thing by me. I’m wondering what our rights are as affiliates.
Ok, I wish you the best. Make sure to share how you resolve the issue since it can be useful to others going through similar situations. Thanks.
I'm with Awin, the company which bought ShareASale about 2 years ago. I'm jumping in here to tell you that like Awin.com, ShareASale does have a team which can help with issues like this. I'm going to work with SydneyMac to get this resolved. For anyone else, I'm also glad to help if you have any questions or issues with ShareASale or Awin - it's my pleasure to do so.
I have no experience with either company, but currently looking for opportunities. I will consider both on my search. Just wanted to now if this is a consistent issue or just an error. Thank you for the feedback Jeannine.
No, this is not a consistent issues. ShareASale tracked hundreds of millions of transactions on thousands of merchants for a hundred thousand publishers last year. They couldn't have stayed in business if this was ever an issue. Sometimes some things happen, like perhaps the consumer clicked the merchant link prior to clicking the affiliate link, which the blogger would never know. That often happens when friends or family are the shoppers.

Have any of you experienced non-credit by an affiliate?

Sometimes you won't get credit for a sale because you were not the last cookie or there was a pre-existing cookie with the merchant. It's not common for a publisher to know when sales existed, so I'm guessing either you or a friend/family member made the purchases. If they visited the merchant site before clicking through on their link, then there was an existing cookie which would not be overwritten by your affiliate link. Could that have been the case?
If you want to message me the details of your issues, I'll be glad to follow up with our ShareASale team to help resolve this.
Thanks Jeannine. I’m not sure about the cookies. One sale was from a social media follower and I’m pretty sure she only went through the links on my website. The other was a friend who did the same. It’s possible that they may have clicked different links on my site.
I’d be interested in knowing if linking to the merchant home page (via my site) and then linking through my “monthly specials “ link would cause this problem.
The problem right now is with the merchant who has finally acknowledged the problem, promised to rectify and still nothing. I don’t want to get in a fight with them and want to keep them as an affiliate so I’m stuck.
If you’d like me to send you my email chain I can.

Yes, do send me the thread and I can look into it for you. Just message me and I will give you my email address.

So I'm in the training where Google Webmaster is set up. I tried to do it through Google Analytics (as per Kyles training) but to no avail.
Let me start by saying when
Are you using All In One SEO?
If you are, it is easier setting up your Google Analytics.
1. Sign in to Google Analytics.
2. On left menu bar, look for Admin and click on that.
3. You will be brought to the Admin page. Look at the center of the page. There is an option - Property Settings. Click on that.
4. You will be brought to another page. There is a Tracking ID. It should start with UA, followed by a set of numbers. Copy this ID.
5. Log in to your website.
6. Go to All In One SEO and click on General Settings.
7. Scroll down to the part where you can enter the Google Analytics ID, and enter the Google Analytics ID.
* Note: It is not the Google Webmaster field. It is a field that says Google Analytics ID. And it is in the Google Settings section. NOT the Webmaster Verification section.
8. Remember to click Update Options
Thank you for this. I went back and double checked and for some reason my domain name was gone in the SEO set up. I’ve fixed that and no change. Going to Admin for G analytics gives me a blank page. There is nothing there! I’m going to try the next post and see if that can help me. I’m open to more suggestions if you have any!

Hi Syndey,
Not sure what you mean by - domain name gone in the SEO setup. Could you screen shot and show me?
Re: GA blank page. This is odd. Could you screen shot that for me too?
Also, in GA there is an add property option - to add our website to GA. Can you screen shot that for me too?
Hi Tim,
So I was busy screen shooting everything for you when I decided to log into my old laptop to see what Google Analytics looked like there and it's working fine. For some reason my desktop and my phone app are both having issues having issues with it. So to put an end to this saga I'm assuming it's stemming from a problem on my desktop and I guess I'll need to continue my training on the laptop for the time being then I need to get both computers looked at as I suspect something got in there that doesn't belong! Again, thanks for all your help!

Hey Sydney,
First you should check to see that the code you were given (or HTML file) to use in verifying your website is still where it should be. If not, then that would be your issue.
Google offers the following tutorial:
https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1008083?hl=en
If that doesn't work, try Google searching "google analytics says my website is no longer verified" (without the quotation marks, of course) and read through the posts that are available offering help with this very issue.
Hope this helps you.
There’s something wrong with GA for me clearly. The menus that the help section says I should go to just aren’t available to me. Do you think tech support can help me with this? Google isn’t answering my call for help
Thanks so much for trying....

Sydney, to ask WA SiteSupport about Google's stuff would be like going to GM about your Ford pickup truck... so, no, I don't think support here at WA would be able to assist you.
You didn't clarify if you used an HTML file or if you used All-in-One SEO verification field for your Google verification number. Have you checked to see if which ever one you used is still there?
I did the SEO as per Kyles training. I’ve gone back through that module to make sure that I didn’t miss anything. What was strange is that my website URL was gone! I had it in originally and save it because analytics was working at set up.
So....I put my URL back in and saved again. Analytics still not working. I put in a request for GA to check into it. They said it could take up to a couple of days. With it now being the weekend who knows when I’ll hear back.
The other strange thing is the Analytics page itself doesn’t have the menu options that it should so I can’t go in and double check anything! I’m worried there’s something sketchy with my computer except that everything else seems to work fine.
So frustrating!!!! I appreciate your help though!
Sydney
You still have not clarified where you placed your Google Analytics ID ... and, you have not said whether you found it missing and replaced it. Sorry... but there is little left that I can help you with.
You say you have contacted Google Analytics support and that they will help you, so hopefully that will come through.
Have a great weekend!
Sorry for the misunderstanding. I’ll try to clarify. I used the all in one SEO. I put the analytics ID in the correct spot (double checked by going way back in the training). The spot where they want your website URL was blank even though I copied and pasted it there as per the training initially. When initially set up it worked as I followed Kyles training and did a check. For some reason over time my website URL disappeared but the analytics ID remained.
Hope that clarifies my little mystery a bit more.

Yes Sydney, I agree... it DOES sound like something got installed on your desktop computer that should not be there. Glad you got Google verification to work once more. Yeaaaaah!
Glad I checked when I thought something was amiss. I wasted way too much time chasing my tail!!!! Back to the training!!
Thanks again!
