Hi WA Community,
Here I go again.
Please forgive me; I am a beginner.
I don't understand why when I am in WP, my website, pages, and posts look normal, but
That could be a theme issue.
May I ask that you try to use GeneratePress Kadence WP, or Blocksy :)
You want to ensure they are responsive, extremely light, fast, well-coded, SEO optimized, flexible, adaptable, and customizable. And those three do that and more.
Hi,
I apologize for my delayed reply; it's the timezone. I live in the Middle East.
Yes, I tried Generatepress and Blocksy, and they work fine.
I kind of miss the right-side area, widgets, and all, that seems missing from both themes....
I plan to see if I can put that back in an easy way; I am still a beginner with WP and themes in general.
You can have widgets with both.
You need to head to Appearance > Customize and sidebar or widget options.
You do not need to apologize :) Totally understandable.
And let us know if you would like to know about something else.
many thanks, great support as usual 🙏
I will start to work on the sidebar and keep you posted.
Seems to be a theme issue here for sure. I would recommend activating GeneratePress quickly and then reload your website again. Make sure to clear the cache too!
On an unrelated note.. I absolutely love your Logo! I like how you have incorporated a clock face in to the guitar, it brings out your background for sure :)
You made an old man happy, dude 😃
I thought nobody would ever notice that...
Kudos to you!
Glad to hear it, Marco!
You're welcome. Never be afraid to ask for help here no matter how small or silly the problem may seem. We have all been where you are at one point. :)

Hi Marco, just touching base to see how you’re making out with your site. Were you able to solve this one?

Hi, my posts are not being indexed by Google. Out of 8 posts, only two are indexed by Google - the colorful G icon on SiteContent on WA.
How so? Is there a way to force ind
Hi Marco,
"the colorful G icon on SiteContent on WA" is simply a WA feature.
Sure, it should show as "indexed" as soon as an article has been indexed on Google, but I know that when I've personally used SiteContent that often I receive the WA email "You've been indexed" weeks, sometimes months, after the article has been indexed, even ranked, and even made me money.
There's a couple of things you can do.
Firstly, if in the SiteContent area and one of your articles shows the greyed-out G, i.e. it shows as Not Indexed, sometimes if you just CLICK on that G, wait a few seconds it will turn to the coloured G, i.e. It IS indexed.
So, you could try that initially.
Secondly, the easiest way to check for indexing is WITH YOUR OWN EYES rather than relying on software, such as WA emails or even Google Search Console.
So, go to GOOGLE and type in
site:https://yourwebsitename ,com
(obviously replace the yourwebsitename .com with your ACTUAL domain name)
This will then show you ALL the pages and posts from your website that have been indexed in Google.
Thirdly, as Abie has pointed out, Google actually FINDS NEW CONTENT via LINKS.
You have to remember that Google is a machine-learning algorithm, so they view our articles differently from us.
But the "Google Robots" crawl websites through LINKS.
So, as an example, when the Google bots come to your website (which they will do regularly if you have a Sitemap and your INITIAL website has been indexed) they will CRAWL YOUR ENTIRE WEBSITE, as well as following EVERY SINGLE LINK ON YOUR WEBSITE.
So, as an example, a website has 50 articles.
Of those 50 articles, you have 100 INTERNAL LINKS pointing to other articles on your website, and 100 EXTERNAL LINKS pointing to say 100 EXTERNAL WEBSITES.
The Google Bots will follow EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THOSE LINKS.
So, it will then visit the websites you are linking to from your content and then follow ALL OF THEIR LINKS TOO.
So, as you can see, the "Google Bots" are basically following a few billion LINKS EVERY SINGLE DAY.
Therefore, having an INTERNAL link (from one of your own articles) pointing to new content allows the Google Bots to find it more easily.
Having an EXTERNAL link pointing to your new articles, e.g. YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest, Quora, Medium, Linkedin, etc. allows the Google Bots to follow those links to your website.
So, whenever you publish new content always try to find an opportunity to link to that new article from your already published articles and ensure that your new article url is shared to a "popular" websites (examples above).
FINALLY
If your articles really aren't getting indexed, you can check in Google Search Console.
You want to look under INDEXING in the menu and then see if you have any articles in the
CRAWLED - NOT YET INDEXED
category.
Now, there could be a few reasons these articles are not indexed, however, this is Google's way of saying THESE ARTICLES AREN'T GOOD ENOUGH.
CRAWLED - NOT YET INDEXED
simply means that the "Google Bots" have already visited that article (crawled) BUT they have decided NOT to include it in their index,
There are various reasons for this (thin content, duplicate content or too similar to something already on your website, no value to the reader, not enough interest in this subject).
BUT
This is, once more, simply a way of Google telling you
THIS ARTICLE ISN'T UP TO THE STANDARD WE EXPECT IN OUR "ARTICLES INDEX".
This can happen a lot with newer websites or websites that lack "authority".
I would suggest that you go through each of the above instructions individually in the order I've listed to determine firstly whether your articles are actually ALREADY INDEXED or whether they're NOT indexed and require improvement.
Make sense?

Many thanks for the fantastic info you shared above!
I will go through all of them and keep you posted.
You can also use Medium.com to post supplementary content backlinking to your posts.
You can pin on Pinterest and strategically link those to your posts.
These would aid in the indexing process.
Meanwhile, I continue to add content to my website, sharing onward social media platforms to target audience hangouts.
Joining Medium is on my to do list. I haven't gone there thinking why should I pay to join something just to post a synopsis of my articles and link back.
Then I realized the value of having a larger pool of people and being a traffic cop to point people my way and the backlinks will help authority.
Not to mention reading = monetization.
My weekend project. Starts today.
That's awesome, Donald :) And thank you for sharing your ongoing plans. I wish you the best always.
Google works on Google Time; you can always request indexing via the Inspection tool of GSC. This resource also helps. Better Internal Links in Wordpress

Hi dear WA community,
I hope you all are doing well and are enjoying the end of January 2024.
It is a DUMB question, I know, but a pressing one for me.
I
Most pay via PayPal or another online merchant that you can connect to your bank account, so you'd be good to go. 👍🏼
Commission payouts are tracked and paid according to your affiliation's terms and conditions. It would be best to read how payments are made because different programs follow different rules; some pay by check, others via PayPal, or straight to your check account.

How do I get the money, ultimately?

Hi All,
It seems like I don't get WA updates via email anymore. This has been happening since mid-December.
Is there any particular reason for that?
I did not
Hi Marco, I was having the same issue a few days ago for some reason. An update, maybe? Whatever the reason, when I went into notifications settings, everything was on as it was for you, except the toggle at the top that says Receive Email Notifications was off. Maybe you can double-check to see if that's the problem. Hope it gets resolved quickly.
If you are not receiving emails, they could be going to your spam for one reason or another. Check your spam box and see if they are going there, and if they are move them all to your inbox and that should fix the issue.
Let us know if the problem persists Marco. :)
