Wow! What a day,

Two weeks ago today, Oct 10, 2018 is a day I will never forget. I arose at 0630, logged in and made a couple of Comments on websites.

Then I started back into the Training lessons and was later that morning going to write 2 new posts for my Affiliate and my Niche website. Cruising right along, I was aware of the approaching storm but was not aware of how it would change my life. The accomplishments I had made since joining WA on Sept 16, were about to be put on hold.

At 1000 CDT power and internet went out at the same moment. I looked out the window and two 70' tall Southern Pines that were by the drive in the next door neighbor's yard, being blown by the east wind bending nearly a third of the way to the ground from 90+ mph winds. I was not aware that hurricane Michael had made landfall between 0800 and 0900 at Mexico Beach, which is south of where I live and came straight into Panama City, Florida headed north.

I went to the front door and opened it cautiously. Barely able to stand, there were no trees down as yet, and looking around I was at awe what I was seeing. Went to the back door and there was one oak tree down, 20' from the house but fell to the west. About that time the top 25' of a pine from the east neighbor's yard landed in the back yard.

Went back to my room and prayed for protection for my friends that I live with and myself. None of us were injured. Nor were their two dogs and two cats. Scared to death, yeah, hiding.

As I was sitting at my desk, the two pines I previously mentioned began their plummet to the ground, directly across the driveway. Before I could get up two more pines on the east end of the house fell on the east end of the house, a broken branch coming through the ceiling allowing water and insulation to come in, but not over my bed, destroying the bedroom on the end.

I had lost all track of time. Several trees were down in the back yard and the winds began to die down. A short time later, it was calm and we walked out on the porch and could see blue sky and realized we were in the Eye of the hurricane. Pretty soon the winds began to pick up and the back side of Michael began to hit. Now the winds were coming from the west, and praise Yahweh, there were no trees on the west end.

After it was all over we still had cell phone service and I called several friends in other states and was told by them that Panama City and the track of the eye up highway 231 had sustained winds of 152 mph. But we lived through the eye of hurricane Michael and survived.

Thursday morning, no cell phone service. Texting was intermittent. By Sunday the 14th, cell service was scattered. By Thursday the 18th 4G service began to return. Found out they were putting up temporary towers around the county. It no data service.

Monday the 22nd as I was making coffee, turned on my tablet and found I could connect with Facebook. One day last week in a period of a couple of hours, I received over 200 email notifications that I am subscribed to on WA. Since Friday, I have received none. I wonder did it get turned off?

All of the work I have done in WA so far has been from a PC. It is going to be a challenge using a Tablet now. But I wasn't defeated by hurricane Michael and will not be defeated by a slight inconvenience. I will do my best to respond to all comments but it may take weeks. Praise Yahweh!!!!

It was quite a day. What a scary experience! Thank you for sharing your experience. It was amazing to experience mother nature at work. Keep moving forward.

Ha --

That is an amazing experience. Thanks for sharing. Linda

Heart breaking story. But I promise we do recover. Your persistence will bring all things bad to a good. Your stories are great.

Hey there Marie. Good to hear from you. I am back in Little Rock/No Little Rock. And back to work. Had to redo a bunch. But I now have 8 posts indexed in Google and am on Page 1 I believe it said in position #5.

Wow what a breath taking story. My prayers are always with you. Hurricanes are always aweful no matter the size. I know you will preserver through it all. The picture below represents new life will always come even after a hurricane as taken it all away. I loved your story.

Thank you Marie. It was and is an experience that I never want to repeat.
At this point, working WA has been very difficult going from a PC with hardline connection to internet down to my Tablet and Verizon smartphone service. Signal is erratic, and unstable at times.
But I will persevere. Blessings to you.

Sonny

Yes you will!! Blessed to you to!
Every year the fall colors come and go!
Every year somewhere a hurricane prevails.
Every year man changes its colors to survive.
Every year good comes from something bad.
Every second, minute, hour, day, week and year moments are preservered making the world 🌎 a challenge.
So let’s preservre in order to help others!!

Thank you Marie. Beautiful words. As Solomon wrote, "To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven."

Sonny

So good to hear you were not injured... and hoping you will be able to fix the material dammage... we watched it on television and were terrified from what we saw... prayers going out to so many...

Thank you my friend.

❤️

I am glad that you came through it ok. I hope you are able to get the damage to your home repaired quickly.
Jerry

Thank you Jerry. Insurance adjuster was here Monday.

Tablets aren’t to bad but is sometimes a challenge to add links. But you can make do most thing. Glad you are ok. The Lord protected you from harm no doubt.
Blessings
Scarlett

Thank you Scarlett. The only bad thing about the tablet is that all of my screenshots and other memes I was using are on the PC. I may have to resort to using the Hot Spot on my phone some once they get the data infrastructure rebuilt here.

Glad you made it through. I cannot understand how people live in Florida, but hell people say the same thing about me and Ukraine. lol

I would rather live in Florida than earth quake city California or tornado alley mid USA. Just curious what major weather you have there?

Glad you're okay!

Thank you,,, down but very far from out.

I'm so glad you're safe. Every day is a new beginning. Each baby step you take gets you to your next destination. You will prevail!

Thank you.
