Why is ranking in WA important?

Allow me to tell you a story that will illustrate this.
When,in the late 60s i was in one of the top bands in Australia,every week the top radio stations would preview that latest singles release and ask their listeners to vote on which ones they liked the best.
When one of us released a new single and the radio stations were previewing it we would all charge down to the phone box and together furiously,phone the radio station,putting on fake voices," hi this Jenny here i love the masters(or zoot) new track".We did it together.Usually. we would be voted the most popular, so the radio stations would put your song on high rotation which virtually guaranteed a hit.
This, i believe is what we do for each other by supporting each other,visiting our blogs and web sites, leaving insightful and relevant comments we,together, create hits.
Together, lets create hits
This is my understanding.Does it make sense to you?

I will continue working and creating even after so-called death.brrr "retire" yuk its stricken from my vocabulary . Hey, im 64 this year and i plann with in 18 months to train with the truly great master of Aikido,Sensei Steven Seagal, even if i have to camp on his doorstep!
I like your analogy and yes, I agree. Besides the unsurpassed training that WA provides, it's the "Let's Help One Another" atmosphere that really sets WA apart from other training sites. One of my 3 brothers is a retired drummer too.
