Ah, thank you. This video came at just the right time. I was thinking about this last night while working on my website. Logged into my email first thing this morning and this video was waiting for me.
Have a fabulous weekend.

Appreciate your wisdom as always Jay!
Personally... I just add an internal link when it is appropriate.... it could be 1 or 2 per article, but..... it could be 10 or 15 as well!! :-)
Hi Jay,
Great video,
I sometimes use a phrase or a few words to add a link to, its equivalent to a long tail keyword.
I normally do bold text to make sure it is more visible and I click the open in another tab option.
The idea is, if people have got more than one page open on your website, that might add to your analytics?
Regards
Brian
Thanks Brian,
There is no SEO benefit (i.e. might add to your analytics) to opening internal links in a new tab.
Hey jay thanks for that just wanted to ask as I noticed when you changed that one word to more than one and gave the internal link I noticed that you didn't bold the words you highlighted. I normally bold what words I want to internal link or also with external links.
Does it matter or just the option to take to make it stand out a bit more being bolded
Thanks
Andre
I echo Andres' response. I also noted that you did not apply advanced settings to open in another tab. Was this intentional?
Michael
Good point Michael I always open in another tab that way they stay on the site and also have the original post there as well
Thanks
Andre
I prefer to open in an additional tab to grant them the opportunity to continue reading the original post without using the back button. People lose interest when you make them work. lol
Michael
True that is why it is important, I feel to have both tabs open otherwise, if they go to the other link directly without it being open this way they most likely will not come back to the original post.
Especially if they haven't read the rest of the original post
Andre
Hi Andre,
Your comment about bold the words brings up a good question and the answer is here! Is There An SEO Benefit to Bold Internal Links?
Thanks Jay and appreciated you responding back as well.
I saw the new video but was not talking about SEO benefits just why don't you bold the links so they stand out more.
Guess that is up to the individual, and yes bolding may not have SEO benefits, but they do stand out more to entice the reader to click.
In the end individual's choice and I respect that.
Thanks again

Thanks. I was wondering what internal links were. Now I just need more articles to link together.
You're welcome Mike
