I've Achieved Ambassador Status
I was intending to wait til my first website blog post was done before blogging anything else, but I got the most suprising news in my inbox yesterday.
I'm now officially a WA Ambassador. I was hoping for that, but I figured I might not get it for a while, certainly not before I finished my level 2 training. I just started Level 2 a few weeks ago, and am working on my first post for my website. So I was suitably surprised, as you can imagine.
How it makes me feel
Does this make me feel good, yes, and I'm certainly grateful to be of help to others in the community, but I don't want to get a "swelled head" or cocky. Let's keep our egos at least on some kind of leash here, lol)
When I was in high school, a lot of people signed my yearbook, and in my senior year, a guy who happened to be a "jock" wrote that he didn't "know what to say to such a popular girl". That kind of floored me, because I never saw myself as a social butterfly, in person anyway, or part of the in-crowd. Certainly not popular, but I just happened to know a lot of different types of people in different socio-economic circles. Different groups, the "in" people and the 'burnouts", and those who went hunting every November. One guy I even knew was practicing for the Olympics, and at one time I was in the Special Olympics. So, it really surprised me.
When I got the Ambassador status, it made me think of that for some reason. But really, it means that I'm active, like helping people, and answering questions when and where I can. And I still plan to do that. I don't expect that to change, assuming I can finish my blog posts for my site.
I want to thank Kyle and Carson for founding Wealthy Affiliate and building it to how it is today, but the community is just as invested and involved in building the community to what is is today. It's the community that makes it a home and a welcome one at that, and I hope not to let you guys and gals down.

Mostly it was just answering the questions that I had the answers to. I didn't have the answer to a lot of questions, encouragement, and mostly trying to make new people welcome, probably more getting involved in the community than involved in my community, but I'm still in there too.
Other than that, I have no idea. It seems to be in a blur, but I started getting involved in the training and the community since this April, but I've been a Premium since 2009, then took some time off and then renewed my membership in 2011, and been here ever since. I had more than a bit of shiny object syndrome, courtesy of ADHD symptoms (undiagnosed as of yet, I'm planning to check and see if I can get assessed for ADHD and/or an official diagnosis tomorrow. :)

Not really sure. You could ask Kyle or Carson, but I think it might start at Rank 25, if that helps. It takes a little longer with each rank(in my experience, that is, the higher you are, the more involved in the community you have to be. The rank for 35 took like maybe a couple of weeks. But remember work/life/study balance. I didn't do so well with that. Not horribly bad, just not as balanced as I'd like or should have been looking back, lol. :)
There seem to be a number of us (ADHD and chasing after shiny objects) here on WA. I like our tribe!
Me too! It's a good thing I picked that as my niche, as I'm part of that tribe, and grew up with those frustrations. I might have the RSD too, (Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria), I'm focusing strictly on the gals for right now, but eventually, with my main site plan to include the guys and gals, that are adult ADHD. It's getting there!
Thanks, Warren! 😀 I lost it when I was focusing on writing my first post, and I'm working on my training and working on my second post is part of my current lesson I'll get it back. It's just that my site has to take priority for a while, the as I will want to get indexed and ranked at some point.
