I've Achieved Ambassador Status

I was intending to wait til my first website blog post was done before blogging anything else, but I got the most suprising news in my inbox yesterday.

I'm now officially a WA Ambassador. I was hoping for that, but I figured I might not get it for a while, certainly not before I finished my level 2 training. I just started Level 2 a few weeks ago, and am working on my first post for my website. So I was suitably surprised, as you can imagine.

How it makes me feel

Does this make me feel good, yes, and I'm certainly grateful to be of help to others in the community, but I don't want to get a "swelled head" or cocky. Let's keep our egos at least on some kind of leash here, lol)

When I was in high school, a lot of people signed my yearbook, and in my senior year, a guy who happened to be a "jock" wrote that he didn't "know what to say to such a popular girl". That kind of floored me, because I never saw myself as a social butterfly, in person anyway, or part of the in-crowd. Certainly not popular, but I just happened to know a lot of different types of people in different socio-economic circles. Different groups, the "in" people and the 'burnouts", and those who went hunting every November. One guy I even knew was practicing for the Olympics, and at one time I was in the Special Olympics. So, it really surprised me.

When I got the Ambassador status, it made me think of that for some reason. But really, it means that I'm active, like helping people, and answering questions when and where I can. And I still plan to do that. I don't expect that to change, assuming I can finish my blog posts for my site.

I want to thank Kyle and Carson for founding Wealthy Affiliate and building it to how it is today, but the community is just as invested and involved in building the community to what is is today. It's the community that makes it a home and a welcome one at that, and I hope not to let you guys and gals down.
