A new way to Research your Niche .... or outdated methods Reborn?
The name of the game this week has been Research, Research, Research to expand my knowledge of my chosen niche ..... my laptop was so hot my Hubby, Dave had to stop me from working well into the early hours of the morning, on more than one occasion .....
Chakra Healing was on my radar, as an area to explore, as in the photo .... I needed an alternative way to find the information ...... but how?
Can you imagine my complete joy when a good friend, and neighbour, Sue, told me about a Mind, Body and Spirit Weekend being held locally ....now, this was something completely new to me, and sparked my interest ...
"Mind, Body and Spirit", I thought .... this opens up a whole range of subjects I had never thought about.... Could this offer a plethora of new material for future projects, as well as expanding my knowledge on the subjects I had already researched ... first hand by engaging with like minded people .... and just maybe, adding potential customers to my email subscription list? .....
So, Sunday lunchtime I went off to see what it was all about ..... paid my £3 .... appx. $5 and and entered the hall to hear the sound of tribal drumming, very soft and gentle on the ears .... as well as bright stalls with all manor of colourful crystals, trinkets ....areas offering Holistic Treatments, Alternative Therapies .... Meditation ..... Aura Photography, Angel Reike, and Spiritual Healing ... the possibilities were endless ....
Also, more importantly .... I could have refreshments, and a welcome sit down for a rest after perusing the many exhibits, allowing me to browse through the leaflets and brochures collected ... make notes for use in Blogs and website pages, compiling reports for Freebies when organising future marketing campaigns .... I was in heaven!
By going to the fair, I had opened up a new way of experiencing, and expanding my area of research all together ..... without the internet! I know we rely on our Digital World too much in our search for information , without even thinking about the forgotten, old fashioned ways of collecting useful bits and bobs ..... which, got me thinking about my Blog today ....
DARE I SUGGEST to you my lovely WA family .... we all think about looking for alternative ways to 'hunt and gather', in the Old Fashioned way, by browsing magazines, journals, and visiting libraries, fairs and exhibitions (time and circumstances permitting of course) .... because you never know ... you may enjoy the experience as much as I did on my little jaunt to The Mind, Body etc Gathering ....
I can now leave you with that thought ..... Until next time, my Friends ....
Love, Light and Blessings .....

As far as I understand, these meetings are, and hope I do not cross a line for you, referring to and honoring The Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit
No Loes, of course not ..... you are right of course .... whatever creed we are, there was something at the gathering for everyone .... blessings Loes
Yes we need to touch on the 'real world' now and then. I for one run a small weekly Buddhist group which helps 'tie into' my website theme. (Btw Am training in Lucid Dreaming..fascinating area to look at!:)
Indeed we do .... I have an open mind too ... Buddhism being one of my avenues .... as well as spiritualism .... fascinating area as you say .... positive karma, light and blessings ....
Good thoughts Maggie. There are so many modalities involved in the field of health care that we know so little about. I think we can only learn if we are open to looking and listening to things outside our present areas of expertise. The old saying that a closed mind is no more valuable than a closed parachute comes to mind. Best to you.

Yay Harold this is so true .... the NHS still don't have an idea how to treat my condition .... sooo investigating an alternative way seemed the best way to go ..... my mind is like a sponge at the moment .... wish I had the ability to learn in my teens as I have now lol. Blessings Harold for the future x
I haven't been to one of those in a long time. I always enjoyed them and the last one I went to had speakers like Wayne Dyer and Maya Angelou was a keynote speaker. What a restorative experience. I'm glad your neighbor took you. ~Debbi
