Just earned off first blog post on new website. Yeah baby!
I have learned so much since starting at Wealthy Affiliate in June 2015. When I started here I already had one website and I then launched another 2 in my first month of joining.
All 3 of those websites earn me an income today, making up a full time income. However I still have debt, I still have to buy myself a house and my car is a 2000 model that is soon going to start costing me more in repairs than its worth so I want to buy a new car... I need to make MORE money.
I need to start putting money away for the future... and I want to start earning more of a residual income than I am now.
My 3 blogs are very broad niches and I love writing for each one, but most of my income comes from publishing guest posts, writing sponsored posts and writing paid reviews.
I have started putting more of an emphasis on affiliate marketing on these websites but I am so busy with paid jobs that I have not been able to put as much time in as I would like.
A few weeks ago I decided to start another blog - this one is to be only focused on affiliate marketing and earning through Google Adense. In other words no paid jobs that take time!
So I spent some time setting up the basics of my website and I did some keyword research... then I paid a content writer to create my first blog post of over 3500 words.
I spent a couple of days to create the images I wanted for it and to monetize it with Google Ads and Amazon affiliate links.
This morning I published my first post on my new website and shared it on social media, Then I fetched my kids from school and took them out for a lunch playdate.
I have just checked my Google Adsense and I have officially made my first income for my website. It is not a huge amount, just R5.58 (about $0.47).... but the point is that I have already earned from my first blog post!
I am so excited and tomorrow I will be able to check my Amazon reporting to see if I have made any sales from that article.
I will keep you updated on the progress of my first Amazon affiliate website!

Thanks :) I always love to share my successes to inspire others to keep on going. It takes time to learn how to do everything but now that I know what I am doing I set up my website on the side in between my full time work and earned a little from publishing my first post.
It is a long cry from when I first starting at WA wondering when I would make my first Adsense income or my first affiliate sale and working with the faith and belief I would one day get there. That day is here and everything is so clear to me.
Good and make that 'going' in sharing what you've learned. It is through this that you'd receive double impact of what you've mastered.

It's always hard to find a balance between paid gigs and working on a website that will make the same, or more, but that takes more time to build an income.
Good for you getting your first Adsense income. It will just keep increasing. :-)
I'm earning at least $100 a month from Adsense as it is, but I want to grow that to much more! It is just so encouraging to see my first income from my new website so soon :)
Yes, that is a very quick turnaround time for a new website. It's a good omen and proof that you set everything up to maximize traffic. I'm interested to see your earning from this site in six months.

Yeah I am itching to see that too! My Amazon reporting updates every day late afternoon so I will be able to see from tomorrow what sales I am making.
