Deer Caught In The Headlights - SAC Update

To say that the SAC has been a shock to my system would be an understatement! Not because I do not usually work hard, that is something I am adept at. It wasn't even the pressure, as self-imposed pressure is something this lass is well accustomed to. What was it? Still can't explain it folks, all can say is that I have been a deer caught in the headlights!

The Headlights Weren't Even That Bright!

Yip, I had no reason to be overwhelmed, after all, joining in October 2018 and working extremely hard in training, writing and posting content (both on my site and here in WA) is what I have been doing. The expectation (at least mine that is) was to grab this opportunity with both hands and RUN with it!

But no, oh no, I have felt dumbstruck and overcome!

Despite That, Here Is My SAC Update

I managed to tick all the task boxes by the due date 21 May - yes, all done! Not necessarily in an orderly manner and certainly not with as much precision and finesse as I had in my minds eye.

I have managed to write all the blog posts - but not publish each one. Sadly, those all written are not what I would call "high quality content". No matter though, all posts are written, only two have not been published as yet.

The training set out has also been completed along with additional training where I have felt severe lack of knowledge (like SEO - God Bless You Jay for your awesome SEO training and also Robert-A, you have been my lifesavers! Not to mention kept me out of the psych ward!).

Onward and Upward-

I have completed the video by Kyle for the next section of SAC, all in one sitting - yip, one hour and 20 minutes of it. I am doing the other tasks one by one, and hopefully with more aplomb that the last round!

I'm Getting Out Of My Own Way

Exactly, the challenges faced are due to my own issues, so now I have made the decision to get out of my own way.

Kyle gave me valuable advice when I shared that I am feeling overwhelmed and not able to see the wood for the trees. I need to take each task one by one and not look at the full picture. That is the route I am taking to get out of my own way.

Thank you, Kyle for that brilliant advice.

Self Motivation Is Key

This is not to be sneezed at, in all things we need to look for ways to self motivate - or find an accountability partner, or source material that assists us as often as we need it. I have found a group within Facebook that does daily messages, this is helping me immensely.

We Do What We Gotta Til We Can Do What We Want To

By now my hope was that I would be on the fast track to financial freedom and able to let go of the multiple jobs I hold - not the case sadly. I continue to work in a job which is not my passion but I am exceedingly grateful for, pet and house sit, promote vision board workshops and sit show houses for sale on Sunday afternoon.

Practicing Gratitude

More than anything, I am grateful for the opportunity to learn how and build my online business.

I am grateful to Kyle, Carson and the entire team for all the hard work they put in to make our lives easier.

I am grateful for the community who are so often generous with their expertise and advice.

I am grateful for my life and, no matter that I am not doing exactly what I want to (yet), I truly believe that so long as their is a breath in my body, there is a purpose for my life - right here where I am.

Blessings everyone as always

Hey Louise,

Nice, you're doing really good. Thank you for sharing your awesome progress. I love your perseverance...

I have to go back and watch the entire video again. I fell asleep... it wasn't boring at all. I think I'll spend about a half hour watching the video, take notes then have a wee break and repeat.

I'm an extreme multi-tasker so I like the tip... take 1 task at a time makes a lot of sense. I'll work on that.

Have a Blessed weekend and keep up your excellent progress.

Monica

Hi Monica
You hit the nail on the head - my biggest lesson here is perseverance! :-)
Haha! I understand why you could fall asleep and it's nothing to do with the content at all, Kyle is a great trainer. Our brains prefer to take a break and start again. You have the right idea, watch for 20 minutes, take a bathroom and refreshment break, or just walk around and stretch. it all helps.
I caught myself multitasking this morning and had half a job done in each room - not the best way to achieve anything, at least not the way I multitask that is :-) Fortunately I caught myself in the act, took a deep breath and finished where I was before moving on.
Wishing you a blessed weekend too and all the best for your SAC journey too!
Blessings
Louise

Hi Louise, I too checked off all the boxes in month 1 of SAC, however, my time organization was horrific. Gonna try to do better in month two and not get behind early, which, thanks to my full-time job I feel I'm already somewhat behind.

I've started watching the video and have started my keyword list, every time I sit down to work I'm getting interrupted.

We'll see, let's get month 2 rolling in an organized manner.

Cal

Hi Cal
Thank you for sharing - it's awesome to know we are not alone with the challenges we're experiencing. Reading all the success stories have made it harder for me too because I've been swimming upstream. Funny how our minds work.
Wishing you every success - here's to our jobs not interfering with our WA journeys, haha! :) I have to keep that in perspective and remind myself that without the income, I would not be able to pay my WA fees - now that would be a big crisis for me.
All the best for a more organised month 2!

Hi Pastor
Thank you so much.
This morning I woke up with a song in my heart "my God made me a promise and He won't stop now!". :-)

Yeeh Louise that your new song kickstarted a scripture in my spirit too which says... "Seest a man that is diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings, he shall not stand before mean men" (Proverbs 22:29).
Lastly, Over 10hrs ago I made a quote on one of the other business I have on our FB group there that I am part of, (PM if u care to know) Enjoy that too!

Hi! Louise,

Thanks for sharing. Yes, one step at a time! That’s what I’m doing.

Wishing you all the best in the SAC Program.

Smart

Hi Smart

I think men are better predisposed to taking it one step at a time, and for this process, it's definitely preferable. Women, well, this woman at least, are more inclined to multi-tasking which works well for motherhood, working, running a home etc., but can be to our detriment in the online space.

Wishing you everything of the best too!

Blessings to you Shamwari :-)

Kyles Advice was 'on the money' as they say. I also had a nugget of wisdom a while back on a comment which was along the lines of, we write better when we are in a good mood. I hadn't thought about it in those terms before but I can see the truth of the statement. This go round I am trying harder to implement the training but I am also aware that on certain days or at certain times not each task will be ideal to work on, so I'll ty one of the others instead. Always doing something keeps the moral up.

Yeah, we are so fortunate to be here Twack, Kyle and the rest of the amazing with the generosity of their knowledge.
Well done to you! It's just a step at a time, a day at a time :-)
Blessings
Louise
