Every website who attracts people to make money online, is like everyone else online, they are sure they have the sollution that they can teach you how.
There are multiple opportunities, which can bring in money. And there are also hundreds of other companies you can join online.
Wealthy Affiliate is one out of thousands other possibilities you can choose from.
Handle with Care
When you review a website whether it's a scam or legit, be very careful. They might have a way to make money online, it just might not be your way.
When you "think" it's a scam, it's YOUR OPINION - Not a fact unless deffinitely proven by your own investigations and experiences.
When you have experienced it firsthand, and you have proof, only then you can say: .....it's a SCAM.
When you have found the data via Google, from the second hand, you can say: "In my opinion, this is not the right way to earn money online."
My no #1 recommendation is Wealthy Affiliate.
And here is my proof:
I have to tell you, I have been a very slow starter. So, do not compare yourself with me or anybody else here, and understand that everybody here is doing the training in its own pace and with its own background knowledge. My computer knowledge was ZERO.
You have to do it!
Starting here as a complete computer illiterate, I had to do the Certification course 3 times before it would stick a little bit, I reckon you can do so much better and quicker than me. Just a few months back in January, I started to promote Wealthy Affiliate properly. I joined Kyle's Super Wealthy Affiliate Challenge group. And I am seriously following his teachings.

So, before you call any online opportunity to make money a scam, realize that some programs you don't like, can be very helpful to someone else in many ways.
WA has helped me tremendously to learn my basic knowledge about computer skills, and to extend it to expert level in some areas.
WA is more than worth the money. (Although I now get money from WA instead of having to pay them. Very nice:)!!!

Make money elsewhere
Of course, WA is not the only one who provides my income online. Due to the lessons here, I am affiliated with a couple of companies who drop in $thirties and $fourthies monthly too. Sometimes even more. For example: I have earned from my free Jaaxy lite account, a referral fee of $384, that's more than an annual membership on WA.
I am very satisfied with my results, and I truly love doing what I am doing:))!!
This is the first time I click the success button, because I feel very successful in the development of my knowledge and for that also getting paid.

I appreciate your honesty, Loes. I often feel as if I'm several steps behind everybody; although I was very computer literate when I joined Wealthy Affiliate, I didn't have any knowledge of affiliate marketing. Often times, when there's training that I'm not too confident in, I can stall.
Sometimes, all we can do is take those baby steps. But sometimes, those baby steps are just an excuse to keep from taking the plunge forward.
Great post Loes and it is very true about what you are saying as be careful saying something is a scam just so you can direct them to WA.
I am into writing reviews now, however, I do more of a comparison of facts that I have researched as in regards to price points, support etc and I tell them that they can make up their own decision about it. But here is what I do and My No.1 Recommendation....

congrats Loes... this stuff definitely works if you stick at it. I agree, you can't compare yourself to others - we all work at different paces. I've realised that my MMO site is my 'long game' and something I will get to, as and when time permits. This means that my progress may be slower than the next person, but it doesn't make the end game any less achievable. Cheers, Karen

I was the same when I joined, a complete illiterate and it took me long hours and a very long time to complete the Certification lessons.
I'm hoping to start making money soon to save and pay for next year or this will be my last.

Loes, thank you so much for reminding people that opinions should not be conflated with facts when it comes to using emotive terms like ‘scam’. Yes, absolutely, there are numerous kinds of business models to consider earning money online!
Writing blogs might not be for everyone, but this doesn’t make the activity inherently scammy if you discover it’s not for you. For accusations of scam and fraud, only an evidentiary process and the law will do.
I joined a couple before I found WA, they were not scams, I was just I didn't get the concept they were using, they cost me money, and it felt not good, but they were not scamming me

Sound advice, it can be easy to label something as a scam, it does pay to do research, when we first go online we have to a degree trust and integrity, like life it is ours to lose.

I never would have thought in my wildest imagination that a relatively short time ago you were all but computer illiterate, for as long as I've been here (March 2017) you've always been an "expert" on the computer in my mind.
