What is an Affiliate Whitelist at Clickbank?
I received an email a while back telling me my account had been added to an Affiliate Whitelist by a vendor.
I have looked on Clickbank info but am still none the wiser. It sounds like it could be a good thing but am not sure. Especially as I haven't actually done anything much with Clickbank as yet.
Does anyone have an answer and can you point me in the direction of a simple basic explanation of how it works and what to do with Clickbank. I seem to have a total mental block when it comes to Clickbank. Maybe it's their explanations or more likely it's me just not 'getting' it yet.
Anyone got any answers, please nicely? Even yes it's good or No, it's bad. Lol.

“You have been added in the Clickbank whitelist by the XYZ vendor”
This means that the vendor only allows specific people to promote his product.
It is overall a good thing to be selected in a whitelist hence it shows you are a good affiliate marketer
I hope that helps
Yes,
These are normally done by some of the better products that are on Click Bank.
I am not going to mention names but they are very well known Click Bank products and the legit kind so to speak. Over all they may take time to get back to you but if they do and accept you it shows that you website is worthy of their product.
Not all Click Bank products are bad there are some good ones out there.
:)
Hi,
If you have been added to a whitelist what that means is you have applied to be an Affiliate on Clickbank to a program or product.
They have different precautions and rules before they accept you.
In other words many products on Click bank you can promote just by the sharing of their links.
However some of the better products will put you on a white list where the product owner will have the ultimate decision if you are accepted or not.
These are commonly done after you have applied to be an affiliate for them.
You will get an email from ClickBank but you have to wait to be whitelisted in order to get the affiliate link. You will also receive another email too from the actual product owner.
Have you applied for any as it is normally the only way to get put on a whitelist.
Hope that helps.
Debs :)
I think I did apply ages ago but as nothing happened forgot about it.
Don't think I have had another email but there are links and banners etc.
Thank you for your help.

Haha, Linda,
I know I do that too lol apply then forget and it pops in my emails all of a sudden. Or it was there and I never saw it. Hard to keep up at the times lol.

Whitelists don't work like that and if you have been accepted Linda they trust what you promote on your website. So that is a good thing for sure. ;)
I would check it out to see. If you are anything like I am lol. I have too many email addresses and I forget where I am at and they get lost in all the other emails. I need a new process to keep me on top lol. :)
It just means you are good to promote their products Linda.
One thing though, Google now only displays sites with "https" as safe.
Most click bank sites (That I am aware of ) are "http" so when you open them you will see "not secure" in the site address bar at the top of your screen.
This can, potentially have an impact on peoples buying decsions.
Michael.
Thank you Michael, I didn't know that about the http on clickbank, will watch out for that.
Linda
Whitelisting is the opposite of blacklisted. That is good. They are giving you the privilege of promoting their products.
From what I know, a whitelist a way for a vendor to select which affiliates promote their products. So, you have to be on their whitelist to promote their product and get paid. If you've promoted a different Clickbank product on your site, this vendor may have seen it and liked the way you promoted it. So, they're inviting you to check out their product. (?) I'm not sure. Just going off what I've heard previously. Is it a product you would promote? You can always contact the vendor.
