Here's The Answer About Downgrading From Premium

Last Update: May 30, 2014

In chat I have noticed people asking about downgrading from Premium and what happens.

So I asked Kyle about this because I wanted to know for sure if it gets asked again in chat I have the correct answer:

Here's Kyle's reply to me asking about downgrading from premium and what happens to your websites.

No, they cannot downgrade. They will be able to resubscribe as they wish and we give them 30 days (of their websites kept active) to either do so or move their existing websites (including their Siterubix content/websites) somewhere else. They obviously will not be able to login after their membership is cut off.

Once your account is set to Premium, your membership is a Premium one for life (upgraded) so there is no process to downgrade.

Hope this helps everyone.

I believe in you
Leo

What if I don't cancel my account, but I have not paid for a month, will my account be blocked?

They will cancel you after 30 days overdue on payment. But you can reinstate your Premium membership and you will not lose your site(s) or content.

I'm still a little confused. Let's say we have no websites, and just been here for the lessons and the affiliate program.

I understand, if someone stops being a premium member, then the affiliate profits will be half of what it is now...what about the rest?

My rankings? and my Blog posts? Will they still be available? or do I lose them all together? I'm asking this because I'm curious if someone wants to take a break, and then continue from where he left off later on..is that possible?

I don't want to give you the wrong information so I want to be sure before I reply. So I am going to PM Kyle to more clarification

Just a heads up Kyle is away until September 27th and will not be available so his PM is set to away so I can't PM him I will try and PM Carson in the mean time

I will update the post once I know more and I will also notify you.

Thanks for sharing this information, that's good to know, but I believe I would sell my car, before I gave up my premium membership! LOL

Hello Leo,
Thanks for this important inmformation! I've been struggling with some personal issues and I precisely am considering "stepping out" of WA... but I would like it to be temporarily. Is this possible? For a while I might not be able to pay the $47 monthly fee... but I trust I will recover and get back into WA.
Please advise!
Thanks!

If you cannot pay for your premium membership while you're stepping away from the WA then your premium membership will be cancelled and you will lose all access to the WA..

Update: I have found out the answer straight from Carson Yes you can come back as a premium member if you cancel. I created a post about it.

Thank for posting, Leo. It will be a lot easier to refer people to your post than explaining it again and again, lol.

Kyle mentions premium members can move their siterubix site (I did not know that - how, by backing up the content and uploading it elsewhere?

Can free members take their siterubix content with them?

~ Jude

Yes all the content on your site is yours (free member or premium). And yes you backup your site and then you can upload things to your new host

Thanks, Leo. I knew you could not transfer Siterubix as it is not an owned domain, but I wasn't sure whether the backup would work. Thanks. ~ Jude

Thanks Leo! I've read about this. This is another reason why I joined WA. I knew I could take my website with me if I wanted to, I'm not of course, but you gotta know what you're getting into.

You're so right - that's one thing I think people did not know is that they can take their site wherever they decide to go.

Yep everyone's situation is different and sometime you have to do what you have to do.

Now anyone that needs to or is considering it - knows exactly what will take place once they do.

Lots of folks have been saying that they can no longer afford premium and want to revert to starter membership.

Yeah, but sometimes a person runs totally out of money! Then things don't go so well. That happened to me and I lost websites before I could get back to Premium. But it turned out to be a good thing, because I'm making them better than they were...I didn't lose the knowledge that I'd gained at WA. Now I'm baaaack!
