Write Access Revoked by Wealthy Affiliate? What to do.
It's a horrible feeling when you lose your writing privileges on Wealthy Affiliate.
You login to WA to answer a comment on a post or publish a new one and a message pops up on your screen: "Your write access has been revoked by Admin".
All kinds of thoughts and emotions pop up, starting with, "what does that mean?"
You may feel alone. You are not alone.
In fact, you're in good company. Many of the most seasoned WA members and even WA Ambassadors have had a write-ban at some stage of their journey.
Including me, if I recall correctly. (Spent way too long searching for a blog post I may have written on this a couple of years ago).
Sometimes, we learn the rules the hard way, right?
Here are some notable posts by seasoned members on the subject:
Kaju: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/jetrbby80316/blog/write-ban-...
Diane: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/dianescorpio/blog/write-bans...

You may feel confused.
You may not know why you've lost your writing privileges or whether you'll ever get them back.
You may be wondering whether you can still publish a post on your own website and do the training. (Great news: You CAN).
You may be wondering whether you will ever get to blog on the WA platform again. (Great news: Usually, the answer is YES.).
* In most cases, the write-ban is TEMPORARY.
Judging by posts of others in this position, your write-access will be revoked for 48 hours to 30 days, depending on the severity of the offence or number of times you've made a mistake on the platform.
You may feel embarrassed.
You may feel like a naughty child who has been rapped on the knuckles.
Your ego is bruised.
You may feel misunderstood.
You may feel unhappy to be were banned because you weren't aware of the rules and your intentions were pure.
You may feel disappointed.
You might feel disappointed in the platform or disappointed in yourself.
You may feel frustrated.
You may have been already planning your next post on Wealthy Affiliate and frustrated that you can't go about doing that.
You might also feel frustrated because you can't delete the offending post or reply to comments on the post.
You may feel angry or sad.
Depending on whether you tend towards anger or sadness.
All of these emotions are completely natural and normal.
No-one wants to feel this way, so let's look at what you can do about the situation.
What to Do if Your Write Access is Revoked by Admin at Wealthy Affiliate
If you happen to make a mistake or two, inadvertently...
I know all you want to do is curl up into a little ball and make this problem go away. Perfectly natural. Just don't wallow in that for too long. You've got a website that needs your attention.
Or you may want to vent. If so, I caution you to do so privately and not take to social media, because you're bound to regret it later.
You may even want to give up. Promise you won't do that... please?
Instead, take heart.
Know this is just a learning curve. We all make mistakes. It's part of what makes us human.
Go easy on yourself.
Trust everything's going to be okay. The sun will shine again and you will live to blog on WA another day (if your intentions are pure).
And then take action.
Once you've gotten over all these thoughts and emotions, it's time to rectify the situation.
Contact Kyle or Carson and respectfully ask them why your write access has been revoked and what you can do to make amends.
Email Kyle on kyle@wealthyaffiliate.com or Carson on carson@wealthyaffiliate.com
They will investigate and let you know how to proceed from there.
As mentioned previously, a write-ban is usually temporary. Your write access should be restored in due course.
And better still, know what you need do and not do to avoid having this ever happening to you.

Quick Update
How to Get Write Access Restored Fast
My Mom recently experienced a write ban and she tried to reach Kyle and Carson by e-mail.
Unfortunately, my Mom's e-mails must have been landing up in spam because she never received any replies and the write ban went on for a few months.
Here's What Worked
I sent a private message to Kyle on the WA platform and he apologised for not knowing about this sooner and restored my Mom's write access within a day.
So if you do land up with a write ban, ask the person who introduced you to WA to send Kyle a private message.
Make sure you have their email address or some other way to contact them off the WA platform because you won't be able to personally send a private message without write access.

Lauren, you haven’t mentioned the most important thing about a write ban. When you are write banned you lose access to Site Support, which is appalling.
I was a member here previously and got a write ban for reasons I am still not sure of. I didn’t mind not being able to interact on the platform here but was astonished that when one of my sites went down I couldn’t access Site Support to tell them. I was paying for hosting and technical support and I couldn’t access it.
And yes I did email Kyle, copying in Carson and team @ wealthyaffiliate .com. I emailed them 27 times (no exaggeration I still have all the emails in my sent folder) and I didn’t get one reply...
Oh my goodness, Ben, I did not know that you lose access to Site Support during a write-ban. How long did your write-ban last?
I can’t remember. Somewhere around two to three months I think. Anyway the damage had been done, I lost so much traffic on my site I effectively gave it up and lost all trust in WA.
Oh no, so sorry to hear that... but you don't seem to have lost all trust... because you are still here, right? Can't find this level of training and support anywhere.
As a free member with no intention of returning. And yes I have found better training and support elsewhere.
I have not had a write ban yet, thought it might happen.
If that is what it takes to keep WA the way it is I would be ok with it.
Thought I would like to see something along the lines of a warning and an explanation of why the ban was issued.
So far I would not change a thing about WA.
Hi Alexander, sorry, I thought I replied to you last week.
Great to hear from you.
I agree, a warning and explanation would be useful.
And I also agree with your last point, WA rocks!
Good morning Lauren,
Hope you're doing well. Thank you for your excellent blog post and thank you for mentioning my recent post, it's appreciated.
I agree with your wise words, we have to remember that this is a huge platform with over 2 million members! It must take a terrific amount of work to keep the platform so friendly and healthy!
As you mention, I actually think it's very important to stay on topic. In other words, talking about Internet marketing and growing our online business et cetera.
I'm glad Kyle has responded, he also responded to my comment and many others, which is great. Official Posting Rules at Wealthy Affiliate Have a great day.
Roy
Oops, sorry for the delayed response, Roy. You sent me back to Kyle's post and I got to reading the replies and forgot to come back and reply to your comment.
An absolute pleasure to mention your recent post. Thank You for your words of gratitude as well as for your compliments. All the best to you.
Good morning Lauren,
No problem at all Lauren, I know what it's like, it's very easy to get sidetracked and read various comments et cetera!
One of the great things about the Wealthy Affiliate platform is that we can help other members, which reaps rewards in many ways.
Wishing you all the best.
Roy
Hi Lauren!
I am one who has been afraid to blog so I am especially thankful for your ideas of what to write about.
I am positive I would feel every emotion you mentioned and not recover for a long time if I ever got a write ban without knowing why.
Lynn
Hi Lynn, so sorry to hear you've been afraid to blog on the platform, I'm grateful you found my suggestions helpful. Looking forward to reading your blogs. :)
