I installed the free Moz Tool Bar on my new laptop a couple of weeks ago and was disappointed to see my DA was still at 24. Down from 26 about 6 months ago.
Why has my DA been decreasing?
I publish a lot of paid guest posts so initially, I attributed it to that, thinking my main message was getting a bit lost.
Having looked a bit deeper, I realised the real reason is that I've not been taking the time to treat my contributed posts in the same way I do my own posts.
I haven't been calling for comments, I haven't been sharing on social media.
Turning it Around
Fortunately, Kyle saved the day by asking us to do exactly that in the Super Affiliate Challenge these past couple of months.
With 3 sites, I struggle to find the time to give and receive comments.
My Mom has been doing a sterling job as my VA to bring in comments for me. Sooo grateful for this help.
Plus, with our upcoming MommyHero Event and latest Mummy Blogger Award Nomination, I've spent 2 days focused on PR... and lo and behold...
Domain Authority is up 6 Points on each of my sites!!
Woohoo!
Domain Authority now 30!!
Domain Authority now 20!!
Domain Authority now 20!!
Yaaaaay!!
Now I know to be taken seriously, you need a Domain Authority of at least 40, so that's the goal, but hey, I'm celebrating each step along the way.
Plus, with a higher DA, I can charge for my paid guest posts, which is currently my main source of income.
So it's all good!

Yes, go for it, Phomrong. Am sure your site is looking great. I'm on my smartphone at the mo so can't check. Yeah... I think it's time to kick it up a notch, do a little guest blogging myself, on some high authority sites.
You can always guest blog on mine. Hehe. It's not quite an Authority site yet but getting there.
Aah, yes, Sachi...when it comes to Internet marketing I definitely find the more I know, the more I know there is to learn.

This is brilliant Lauren. I use an I pad to work on as my laptop is sooooooo slow so I haven’t installed it. It doesn’t work on my iPad.
On another online MozRank checker It told me my DA was 26, if it is to be believed
