New Sales Page (SNEAK PEEK)!
Here is a sneak peek of the new Wealthy Affiliate sales page that is going to be rolled out on Tuesday with the launch of the "Free for 10 Day Test Drive".
We have gone very unconventional with our sales page and have done so for many reasons.
(1) It is FREE to try. If someone wants to check it out, they can try it.
(2) Remove confusion. The longer the sales page, the more confusion it will create trying to explain what The Open Education Project is. This simplifies it in a few simple items (Learn. Network. Build. Succeed.)
(3) We can accomplish everything with "lightbox" style sales page
(4) Removes the "fluff" and the scammy feel of sales pages
(5) People can see the application working in the background :)
The actual content is broken down into 4 tabbed pages. These define the core components of what The Open Education Project is and how it will benefit them as a user. These tabs include:
- Learn.
- Network.
- Build.
- Succeed.
If you think of any education platform or any business, these are the core components of the process.
You Learn. First you need to know what you are doing. This consists of action items and this also consists of learning through many different mediums (video, tutorial, chat, comments, forum, etc).
You network. You build friendships. You build business relationships. You get to know people and you know who has your "back" and who is there to help you if you need it.
You build. You create pages. You write articles. You build campaigns. You build virtual real estate. You create stuff!
You succeed. Ultimately a result of the learning, the network, the building will lead you towards success.
This is our initial sales page outlay, it will obviously evolve to optimize for ultimate conversions. It will continue to improve, but we are excited about our unconventional, yet slick approach we are taking to our new sales page. It is going to be beneficial to affiliates and is going to actually remove a lot of the confusion as to what we are.
And if someone really wants to know...they can join, FOR FREE!
What about after the 10 days?
People are going to have the two options after the first 10 days. They will be able to log into their membership area still, but they will be approached with a two option offer (they will not be able to do anything beyond the offer).
These two new price point options are:
- $47 per month
- $359 per year (paid at once)
There will be no other payment options for new members. The more options, the more the confusion so we are truly simplifying things in every way. Here is an example of this page:
As you can see, very simple and concise, the direction we have gone with our entire front end sales platform.
Would love to hear your feedback.

I agree - this all looks great, and current, clean, non-salesy (is that a word?).
As a newbie, I've made exactly nada. I don't have an email list yet or a big social network. I have a small group of friends and a small family. I will use as many of the suggestions on the list as I can. While I feel like I've learned a ton, I am just not getting very far with my website and little to few clicks here & there. I am sure I am going to get questioned on if I'm making money, and possibly how many figures, especially from people that know me. Any suggestions on the best ways a newbie not earning yet can promote this successfully?
Also - with anyone new signing up, how many sites are included with the hosting?
Just tell them you just started and you're trying to get other friends in it... And then show them people within Wealthy Affiliate actually making money so they can see for themselves. But yea, if they ask tell them you also just started and you're telling other people about it.
10 sites are included with the hosting.
And why do you have to tell them you are making money? When someone signs up to school or an education platform are they making money within the first week or month? NO. They typically have to wait for 4 years and nowadays they are lucky if they get a part time job after they get their degree.
You can tell them that conventional school is a dying breed and this is the new type of education that you need for the real world. These are skills that are not only valued in the workplace and sought after, they are also skills that will allow you to create your own online business.
And of course, it is free to try...so no risk. If they do decide to join after, it is $359 per year or $47 per month, a sliver of the price of any other type of education in the world and a much more interactive and helpful experience.
Hey Karen. People who join for free have 100% access to WA, and this includes creating a website. The great part about WA being FREE to try is that you can feel good about giving your friends and family a recommendation. Anyone who is interested in building an online business, website, or learning how the internet marketing industry works will be able to try it for free. If they like it, then they can continue with the program, otherwise they still got a great 10 day sneak peek.
One of the things that we encourage is for new people to try the website builder and see how easy it is to create a website. You don't need a list to invite a ton of people to try WA.
Thanks Carson! I've been working on my website and am keeping it short & to the point but am focusing it on what I was able to do and learned in only the first week. Coincidentally I was just telling my hubby the exact same thing, how amazing it is what I didn't know when I first started!
Explain what wa is in four words, Learn, Network, Build, Succeed, very nice I must say. Nice and simple but full of direction.
If you look closer, it is actually 4 tabs. Learn. Network. Build. Succeed. Within each tab there is 4-5 concise bullet points relating to each. This is far more explanatory of what WA - The Open Education Project is than a 20 page sales page.
And if people want to see what it really is, they can join for FREE.
I got to thinking about this and I do have 1 question. After the 10 day free trial period, how long will this page be up? And does this only include people who were in the 10 day free trial period, or does this include everybody?
The 10 day trial is ongoing now...meaning that this is the process from now on. It starts on may 1st and will go until the end of time...unless we make changes before that happens.
People only get the order page after their 10 day trial and will get this upon logging in or they click the "Rather not use Facebook, Join Now!" option.
Ahhh, OK. Now I fully understand. Thanks for clarifying that and Sorry for getting confused about that. So it's not from May 1st to May 10th. It's simply a 10 day free trial that people can start doing from May and onward.
So the real question now is will people take advantage of this free offer with multiple emails and take advantage of the keyword tool finder or something like that.. Of course if you do this, you won't really have the ability to do hosting with WA or advertise among other important factors.
I Like it, 10 day, no charge, no BS access! OEP, the real deal baby! Simple and to the point.
ikr? It should help all the affiliates out anyway trying to get people in. Some people are just stupid, so you have to be simply stupid for them to understand. lol. Kidding.
It is far easier to show somebody something than it is to try to explain it to them. I think people will be very happy once they make their way inside, in particular because it is a full, no strings attached access. :)
Well done guys. I like it. I can see you're focusing on the KISS (Keep it Simple Stupid) concept, which I think is great. The less clutter the better I say.
P.S: Is it ok to use these screenshots for our campaigns?
Keepin' it KISS! And yeah, feel free to use the screenshots, they may change slightly but we have no problem with you using them
No more 97/mo offer? Or is the 47/mo $359/year just for new members for the 10 day time period?
People who are on the $97 offer still have it, but these are the only 2 payment offers going forward. The one year payment offer will be equivalent to that of the PLATINUM membership.
Going forward these are the only 2 payment options.
Hey bmark, new members prob. wouldn't need the Platinum. I think it's safe to say only Affiliates who have been in WA for a while only upgrade to Platinum sometimes. I'm sure Kyle & Carson can give you the stats behind that too.
Yeah, there really isn't much of a need for the platinum membership now as the $47 is more than adequate for anyone! :)
Looks good, just on my way out but wanted to ask question, if someone joins via FB are you capturing the email address too?
Yes, we do capture their email address and auto fill their membership email, but they can change this if they like upon signing up.
Too clarify, when a user joins for free with FB, they still go through the account creation process at WA where they enter their contact details. We pre-populate the fields from Facebook but people can choose a different email if they want. To have an account at WA, you must have an email address to log in with.
Using Facebook helps us to prevent people from signing up over and over and over again. Once a Facebook account is associated with a WA account, that FB account can never be used again to create another account.

Looking good, although I do wonder if perhaps the fact this is an online business/affiliate marketing community isn't obvious enough. Sure it's an 'open eduction network', but so is Wikipedia. Overall I think it's a good step forward, but coming to it I wouldn't be clear on what WA or OEP is! Mark.
I just look at it as a sub-header title. They'd probably lose business if they changed the title. :P
Check out the page now Mark, it is live. We explain in point form (under the Learn. Network. Create. Succeed.) tabs what is offered within WA - OEP. It is an Internet Business education community, not just an affiliate marketing education platform, that is why we are being more general. These points will evolve as we test, but if people really want to see what is inside Wealthy Affiliate...they can join for FREE!
Just had a look at it, and it is a lot better then perhaps I had thought it would be. I'm sure you'll continue to refine it as time goes on. I was just making the point that even though people can join for free, it still requires an investment (in time and energy) for them to work out what WA is, and the clearer that is, the better for everyone. But I'm sure this is the right way to go, I remember occasionally looking at the WA sales page and thinking how 'sales-y' it looked. Not good for what WA is today! Mark.
Yeah, we haven't liked our sales page (or them in general) for quite some time, but we had to wait for our new platform to roll out before we could make the transition. We help people understand what WA once they are inside and walk them through the fundamentals...there is a lot of handholding and direction given within the first 10 days. :)
As for the existing sales page, we will continue to fine tune it for best performance. We have a good handle on things now and the processes of someone trying out WA are more streamlined than ever.
Thanks for your feedback Mark.
