Update to "Amazon Dumped Me!"

The other day I wrote about how devastated I was to learn that Amazon did not accept me into their affiliate program. So, I emailed them to find out the logistics and explained to them that I made 6 qualifying sales like I was supposed to and did my part to make them money.

They had stated my website was under construction and I argued that was impossible since 90% of my pages/posts are indexed by google and yet again stated I made 6 qualifying sales.

Low and behold, I received an email stating, "Congratulations you have been accepted into our Affiliate Program and now are able to start using all the benefits of an affiliate member".

Things that make you go hmmmm....

Whoohoo! Congratulations, Kristen. So glad you spoke out about that and that they responded positively!

All the best,
Sue

Good morning Sue thank you, I wasn't sure about how they would respond but it seems the outcome was what I wanted! What they did was so confusing. But with all of that out of the way I can now focus on what is important and move on with the rest of the training and bring awareness to the public of what is truly the most important to me!

Have a blessed day!

Kris

That's great news! Persistence is key!

Thank you! Persistence is one of my many qualities! Annoying at times yes, but helpful at times too. I appreciate your feedback!

Best wishes,

Kris

So you in or out..?

Wayne

I'm in, what happened was, Amazon had told me my application was denied. I had made the 6 qualifying sales in the required amount of time, so I contacted Amazon asking them why they denied my application. When contacting them I was sure to tell them that I did my part by making the qualifying sales, and making THEM money. Two days later, I received notice that I was approved and had full access as an affiliate member.

I want everyone to know here that you can fight back, no matter who it is if you know you are right. This time it worked for me and has made me feel so much better about myself and how I perceive the way I write content for my website. A definite confidence booster.

Best wishes,

Kris

Ok Kris, I see what you are saying!

Thank you

Wayne

I'm glad it worked out for you. I wasn't aware of the sales requirement to keep the account.
I'd better get busy.

Hi Paul, thank you. Yes there actually is and it's 3 sales in 90 days or 6 sales in 120 days. I can't recall the actual number, but if you go into your Amazon account and look in the fine print you will find it. Plus, when you get close, Amazon should send you an Email. I don't want to give you false information, so be sure to check with Amazon.

Best wishes,
Kris

PS Glad you read my blog

Thanks for the share Kristen. You just proved that persistence will get you there.

You're welcome Harvey, definitely my pleasure to share that these big companies realize sometimes they make mistakes too. Persistence is one of my qualities, an annoying one, but it can pay off in the long run. Well you must know that being in the top 100!
Thanks for the response,

Kris

Ohh boy, what a relief! Sometimes mouthing back at giants
helps. It did you! Congrats!

Good job!

Haha! Thank you. Have you seen my bio? It states I'm spunky! I really wanted to mouth off but I knew that wouldn't get me anywhere so I just told them the truth that I made them money like I was supposed to and held my end of the bargain, so why would the not accept me? I just want more people here to know that they can contact Amazon and ask questions to resolve these issues.

Kris

Thanks Jim, no I didn't read your bio, I will now!

Frank =)

I tell you what, Amazon is "odd" to say the least. I remember the first time I initially got accepted by them and my website was very young with really not much in the way of content. Of course I did not make the qualifying sales and got kicked off of Amazon's affiliate program.

I'm glad you did get the situation resolved though and that they accepted you into their affiliate program. Here's to more sales for you!

Thank you. Odd for sure! My site is young as well, but their requirements are 6 qualifying sales and I did that. So, that was my leverage when I contacted them. My point with this blog is, do not give up! I simply told them that my site is up and running, indexed by Google and making money for Amazon, and wow all of sudden I'm an affiliate for them. I hope more affiliates here do not give up.

Best wishes,

Kris

Congrats:) Off you go>>>make those sales!!

Thank you, thank you! I'm trying!
Kris

I am happy for you. I wish you all the best and that you make more money from sales through Amazon

Thank you so much. and yes I hope so too but sadly I have to start over with them, but it's a brand new start in my eyes and got a sale yesterday!

That's very good. Keep it up. I hope you get more sales with them.
I am an affiliate of Amazon as well. But, I have not gotten any sales yet. I guess it's because my site is still new- started just three months ago, but I am Amazon affiliate for almost 2 months.

You'll get there. All of this can be quite confusing at first. Good luck to you, just keep going, I know you can accomplish it, you are in the right place!

Best wishes,

Kris

Yes. Thanks for the encouragement. Best wishes for you too.

Nickoy

Wow, that is weird! But at least your in. :)

Weird for sure. They initially sent me an email stating I need 3 more sales in 3 more months, no problem right? I got them within a day, then received an email the following day stating my application was not accepted due to my "site being under construction" or "bad URL", I simply wrote back to them calling their bluff. Hence, the acceptance letter.
