You are welcome! I am just getting into mail lists, sign up forms etc but I don't want to sacrifice my website speed for emails.

Google speed shows mailchimp affecting my speed?

Hi everyone, as an update SiteSupport says that MailChimp is a 3rd party site so they aren't able to physically do anything on that end. But they have confirmed that from what they can determine, my site speed is running well. I will still look into this on MailChimp side to see if I can reduce my landing page image or any other image that I have used.
Thank you for your comments!

Hi everyone,
I have read on another post that Site Content automatically optimizes the pictures when you insert them into your post. I usually go on Pixaby site directly
I re-size all pics to "Web - Small" in MS Office Picture Manager before uploading.
After that, my EWWW Image Optimizer plugin does the rest.
No worries.

Thank you everyone for your comments. I think I will do a test of posting with photos from site content and another using tinypng and track the speeds on both. I’ve also been using a plug-in but prefer not to use it if possible to cut down on the amount that I’m using.
Site Content seems to be doing a good job of reducing the images I have placed into it. I commonly use my own images. They are coming in at 50 to 100 kb in size once published.
That's just my experience these days.
I always optimize images outside SideContent and insert them into the post in my WP page builder.
YES i agree with this approach this way you are certain to choose exactly what you want without retracing your steps over again?
