I want to transfer my GoDaddy domain to WA. If I do this will I loose the content I created in Godaddy?

Hey Kim,

Marion's tutorial here: may offer you the help you seek.

Hope you find this helpful.

Thank you!

Thank you!

You are most welcome and you will also find Marion's training is top notch that is why I gave you that link.
to your success

Andre

I am looking forward to diving into the link. First, a couple hours of sleep. Then back at it again!

By all means Kim always good to get some rest before getting stuck into it.
Sweet dreams

Andre

No you have to contact support here and they will want some details. domain name, cpanel log in ,wp login things like that then they will migrate your data to a temp domain you then have to point your dns to Wa. When it propergates you then move things over to the main domain.
I have just done that and everything went ok .

Thank you!

I have a review/post showing up under my "Home Page" tab on my website. It also appears in the correct spot under my "Reviews" tab. How can I remove it from the Home Page? I

Thank you all for the info. Now I am trying to decide if it's best to keep it as a blog roll or change it to a static page. Any thoughts?

That's what I was thinking too. Thanks for your input!

Hey Kim,

Perhaps this post will explain things better: And if you are convinced that you prefer a static page, here's a tutorial to help you change your home page: Hope you find this helpful.

You need to set up static home page instead of blog roll.

If you don't want it to appear on your home page but your home page is set to show your posts, perhaps you should make it a page instead.

Then, assuming Reviews is a menu item, you can set it up in Menus to show there.

I’m guessing you have you home page set to a blog roll vs a static page. If you post another post, does it show up too? You’ll probably want to change to a static home page to control its content.

I am not crazy about the domain name I chose. Can I change the name even though I have already begun building my site? Or can I add a new domain and have it directed to my si

So you have created your website on a Siterubix sub domain and want to move it to a domain that you own? This is covered in level 2 lesson 2 of the OEC training.

Alex

Thank you Alex!

I wasn't either, after you build site, the training will have you buy a low cost domain and you can search and pick a new one then. Hope this helps:)

Yes, that does help. Thanks for the info!

You can change domains as much as you want/can afford. That said, every time you change it, your trust will start over with the search engines.

I suggest you find the domain you really want and change to it and leave it once you have.

Thank you. I just can't figure out how to do it. My current one is a siterubix domain. I want to purchase a domain and apply it to the site I've been building. Any suggestions on how to do that?
