A Warning when you are using the Comment section

Hi folks,

As you all probably know, using the Comment Section to either offering or requesting a comment on someone's website or your own, is helping to rank better in Google.

The same also goes for asking or giving a Feedback.

Google likes to see good and vivid engagements and will reward it, or not, with a good ranking place of your articles and posts.

However, this is not the point, today, I like to make with my post.

I have recently asked for some comments to articles on my 3 websites, and 99% of them were legit, honest and great written.

Some even have asked questions (which I really love to answer) and this too brings some great exchange with the visitor and is good for new visitors coming to my site.

Good and engaging comments will keep visitors even longer on your site and might also encourage them to leave a comment by themselves.

But, and here comes my concern or frustration, when you use any sort of comment creating software you might getting caught, sooner or later, and in my case I had to disapprove a comment.

The comment I had to disapprove was written 3x, almost identical in words, to one and the same article. This, of course, can't be aloud.

I wrote the reason why I have disapproved one of the comments to the author of the comment, and also warned them that if they use some sort of "comment writing" software, that this will backfire at them sooner or later.

Besides, it isn't fair to others who actually spend their time and effort to create a good comment or feedback.

I personally don't like it to disapprove a comment but in this case I really had no other options.

My Warning to those who are using such "Help", stop it!

And, to all the others who are doing the work by themselves, Thank You, your are appreciated.

Love

good point!!

Thanks, Jim :)

Understood!
Ed

Thanks, Ed :)

I hear your frustration. I asked for comments on a few posts that I wrote and rewarded with, three words on one and four words on the other.
I had taken the time to comment on their sites with a few thoughtful paragraphs and received just a few words. It was disappointing, asking me for a comment and returned with basically junk.
You strive to write the best post or page you possibly can and respond with the best comment you can offer. And receive in return something that isn't worth your time or approval.
I think it's important for everyone to take the time to respond with their best whether they're commenting or giving feedback on a website.
I'll get off my soap-box now.
Thanks,
Sylvia

Thanks, Kevin for your comment and I also do agree. In my case, however, it wasn't just that. The comment was good written but it turned out to be the same wording 3x on the same article. this is what have raised my eyebrows.

I understood your post. I just wanted to add my frustration to your post. Automation is a good thing, but it has its place.
Thanks,
Sylvia

That's true, Kevin :)

Those "twists" should be innate in your own mind to develop you as a writer and marketer!

Thanks, Michael for your nice response :)

In my time spent writing and taking Freelance work, I have often come up to people wanting 'comments' written, with a certain 'twist'.

I have also come across software that you are eluding to. It is quite easy to 'program' some comments and have them posted, especially as part of a campaign to hammer on some people or to make others look good.

You can often tell when you are subjected to this and, other times, it is hard to identify, but it is loathsome should be curtailed whenever possible!

Thanks, Mickey for your comment and insight, appreciated,

It cam never hurt to take that extra minute or two and g8ve an honest, personal comment. We should always strive to make our input meaningful and useful.

Thanks, Hal, appreciated :)

Hey Sylvia,

Thanks for putting this out there, I haven't come across anything like you have and I hope I don't, at least I will have a better understanding of how to deal with it if I do.

I always take time to go over the comments I'm giving as I would like to think I would get what I give - I guess that's what's expected here at WA.

Thanks again Sylvia for putting this out there,

You're a gem, cheers

Jacqueline

Thanks, Jacqueline for commenting :)

Well said, Sylvia!

Thanks, Rebecca :)

Hi Sylvia
Also keep the comments to the article concerned. Not about other areas of the site or the structure of the site. That should be done on the feedback or am I wrong?

Yes, Robin, this would belong to a Feedback, :)

Hi Sylvia

Never knew there was a "comment creating software" wow! :p
People actually use these?

Regards,
Kamil
