What is the best plugin for adding social media share buttons?

he had a couple of them.

I use and like the Simple Social Buttons. It easy to set up, and I like the look of it.
Eric has some classes that run through setting them up. Ill see if I can find them.

I've installed Simple Social Buttons, seems to work fine - thanks

Your welcome.

Hi Ken, have you looked at HUBS ? if you go to Hubs and scroll down you can find info about Social Media.

I did briefly a few weeks ago, I will checkout again

thanks

I was just looking for a quick answer, I've watched all the previous training videos, don't have time to go through it all again

Is it just me or does anybody else think the WA affiliate banners need updating?

First Attempt with Canva. Feel free to use, IF YOU DARE! lol

Fantastic

Nice and clean for your first attempt. I like it.

Thank You

Yes, they do. I highly recommend that you create all of your banners in Canva.com, they will be much more specific to you and your overall design.

I can come up with a blog post on how to do this. :)

Hello Kyle

I am sure we all would love a blog post on how to create WA banners with Canva. I know I would appreciate the help.

Jeff

That would be a welcomed class! Thanks Kyle

Maybe someone can write a post to help us with step-by-step training on how to create our own WA banners with Canva

Jeff

If you type in Canva in the menu bar you will see a few

I've created banners in the past, but they never quite look professional

Hello Ken,

You are not alone Ken. I have tried my best never liking the banners that I have created as well

Jeff

Most people create their own in Canva

Hello KenBoy

I have been thinking the very same thing. I keep checking to see if the banners have changed

Jeff

I agree! As Jeff says, its likely in the pipeline - there's a lot of updates coming this year. You can always create your own banners with Canva if you're in to that kind of thing. :)

Many of them will likely be, or have already been removed. We will have to wait and see!

How Do You Check Traffic And Visitors To You Website?

I don't see any features in the website sections for checking traffic and visitors etc, previously I have used cPan

So the answer is use google analytics? and not any functions in the WA hosting?

i have added wpstatistics plugin to my site and tend to use that rather than google analytics....
but no there is nothing within wa to give you your analytics for your site....

I used ChatGPT to answer your question "How do you check traffic and visitors to you website?" ChatGPT is wonderful to use.

There are several ways to check traffic and visitors to your website:

1. **Web Analytics Tools**: Utilize web analytics tools like Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or Matomo (formerly known as Piwik). These tools provide detailed information about your website traffic, including the number of visitors, their geographic location, referral sources, popular pages, and more.

2. **Server Logs**: Your web server generates logs that record every request made to your website. Analyzing these server logs can give you insights into visitor activity, such as which pages are being accessed and from which IP addresses.

3. **Website Hosting Control Panel**: Many web hosting providers offer built-in traffic analysis tools within their control panels. These tools typically provide basic statistics about your website's traffic, such as the number of visitors and page views.

4. **Third-Party Services**: There are also third-party services and plugins available that can provide insights into your website traffic. Some examples include SEMrush, Moz, and Ahrefs.

5. **Social Media Analytics**: If you promote your website on social media platforms, you can use their built-in analytics tools to track traffic from social media sources.

6. **URL Shorteners**: If you use URL shorteners like Bitly or TinyURL to share links to your website, these services often provide analytics on the number of clicks and geographic location of users who accessed the shortened links.

By using one or more of these methods, you can gain valuable insights into the traffic and visitors to your website, allowing you to make informed decisions about your online presence and marketing strategies.

Oh! Thank you for telling me. But ChatGPT helps me a lot for me and others. Won't do that again. Thank you again.

There’s nothing wrong with your answer. No need to anpologize. You’re answering a question and directly helping another member here. 😎👍🏼 The rule regarding copied AI content refers to writing entire WA blog posts with AI. This comment you made is a direct answer to a specific question and you’re also sharing how you found it to help the other member find answers for themself in the future. You’re fine. 💯

You're welcome.

Thank you.

thank you again

No prob :)

Your answer is of no value, did you even read the question before hitting AI?

Eric said that I was fine. Then I am fine.

Seriously how many articles do you need to crank out to make more than coffee money?

I understand that this is going to be a controversial question but I need to know.

A single post could lead to 1,000's in income, or $0. SEO is one component of your business that you will benefit from as you build out, but it will be the "law of numbers "typically with SEO.

The more content you have out there (assuming quality), the more opportunity and "tentacles" you have potentially producing traffic and opportunity.

Once you have traffic though, that doesn't mean income. Lower traffic websites with properly integrated promotions can convert way better and generate more revenue than websites with 1,000's of uniques, with no proper game plan for monetization.

So that should be a consideration as well.

With the tools that you now have (Hubs, Designer, and Author), you can research and build out quality content quicker than ever...and managing multiple websites is not some crazy feat any longer.

Well a single post making $1000's is probably not typical or even going to happen unless the blog contains many more articles, so you have to write many articles. I think we all know that a single post blog is not likely to rank in the search engines.

A single piece of content can in fact bring you thousands. One of my first YouTube reviews blew up like crazy. But in asking your question it shows you already know that the answer lies in consistency. 💯

For example, let’s say the answer was 354, right? “354 high quality ranking articles will bring you $1000/month consistently.” You’d need to start creating that high quality content and do it consistently to reach that goal.

Now let’s say it was 500, or 150… nothing changes. You have to get busy learning and building, and thankfully you have all the tools necessary to do that right here. 👍🏼

Now obviously we all know there is no magic number. It’s all about quality, consistency, and the traffic those efforts bring.

Follow the training, build consistently just like it shows you, and see how much it opens your eyes as to the opportunity in front of you.

You got this!

A single one of MANY, of course. It is not a one post website. The law of averages, some of your content will hit, some of it one. That is just the reality of any website.

You have the tools here not only to discover high quality keyword clusters fast (through Hubs), but to build them out efficiently with the Designer and the Author platforms here at WA.

Some articles will make you zero. Some will make you $10's, some will potentially make you $1,000's or more. As your website gains traction, all of your content will start to rise to the surface of search...and this is just ONE of many ways you are going to be able to drive traffic and scale your business (you have social, you have youtube, you have PPC, you have xyz...)

Today Google disabled cookies from 30 million chrome browsers, 1% of users, by the end of the year they will all be disabled, we know that almost all affiliate programs use coo

Featured Comment

Hi Ken,

Google announced the end of 3rd Party Cookies long ago and has begun to disable them in Chrome browsers now as you've mentioned.

However...

This is NOT going to affect Affiliate Marketing because Affiliate Marketing does not use 3rd Party Cookies.

Cookies can be categorized into two main types: first-party cookies and third-party cookies.

First-Party Cookies are the are the "normal" cookies that are set directly by the website you are visiting. For example, if you visit nike.com, the cookies placed on your device are first-party cookies, meaning that Nike placed the cookie in your browser, perhaps to track an affiliate click and attribute a sale to a particular affiliate, perhaps to allow you to have items stored in your shopping cart.

First-party cookies are what affiliate marketing uses.

You send traffic to the company that you are promoting with your affiliate link, and they set the cookie to remember that you sent the lead when the visitor lands on their website.

First-party cookies are generally considered to be less invasive in terms of privacy, as they are directly related to the functionality of the website you chose to visit.

Third-Party Cookies the other hand, are set by a domain other than the one you are currently visiting. These are usually used for online-advertising purposes and are set by advertising networks that the website participates in.

For example, if you visit example.com, but the website includes an advertising banner from an ad network (say, adnetwork.com), that network might set a cookie on your device. This cookie is a third-party cookie. These cookies are used to track your browsing habits across multiple websites, to display personalized advertisements. Due to privacy concerns and the potential for tracking user behavior across the internet, third-party cookies are often seen as more problematic, and their use is increasingly being restricted by browsers, like Google Chrome.

------

So, is this going to affect affiliate marketing? Absolutely not...not at all.

The Internet relies on cookies to function correctly.

If we were unable to set a first-party cookie in your browser here at Wealthy Affiliate, we would not be able to keep you logged in for example :)

Thanks for the detailed reply, apologies for the clickbait title!

Great reply. Made it a lot clearer.

Teri

Thank you, Carson, for clearing the air on Cookies. I hope everyone understands your explanation.

-Matt

Thank you Carson for explaining this, and thanks Ken for a great question.

I'm glad you asked. It's the kind of thing I would be wondering about as well.

This should be is own post!

Thank you so much. I have a Shopify store and they use third party cookies.

Do you mean like Facebook Pixel and others for analytics, user behavior, experience, etc? Or third-party apps. But those would still be sufficient on the e-commerce website. But those will still function, however, not on Google.

Third party

I understand, but I wonder how Shopify will address this issue with all their e-commerce websites.

Yeah that's what I want to know.

Thank you. I'll keep an eye on it and share findings on the thread if I get to know something.
