Second Story is #1!
What?
I was looking at my profile page on WA and came across this:
I was thinking. What does that G mean? I thought it was for the Google indexing. When I moused over it, though, this is what it said that this was a badge because one of my websites had been ranked in Google.
I figured, "Well, in the hundreds of thousands of sites on my topic, being ranked could just mean that I am in the top 1 million."
Since I only have one website through WA, I went to check it out through SERProbot.com and sure enough, there was my site, sitting all neat and pretty at #1!
I ran the search and sure enough, there it was on Google in position #1:
I was about ready to pass out! Does this really mean that my three week old site is #1 in a google search?
I don't know for sure, but I am sure geared up for really working on my site to help other grandparents like me!
All I can say is "WOW!"

Also, try searching, incognito or in another web browser you don't normally use, the phrase grandparents raising grandchildren.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did search using another web browser and sadly, the results were less than stellar, but I hold out hope that my site will be found on those other search engines and browsers, as well.

That is awesome! Congratulations!! And what a neat topic. My mom is a Grandmother raising grandkids too, not mine, but my sister's kids. Good luck with everything!
yes, my mom retired last September and still has no idea what it truly means to be retired. LOL! She went from working full-time to being a caretaker for my niece and nephew full-time. But she'd rather that than the alternative which the kids clearly didn't benefit from or like. My mom provides much more learning and nurturing than what they'd receive otherwise. So it's her choice, really. They're only young for a little while....get the snuggles in while you can, right?
It really is a different thing. I commend your mom for taking on the responsibility. Thank goodness for willing grandparent(s)!
Those snuggles with the kids is the best!
