If you have read my last post you know that I have been squandering my time with too many video games. After reading some of your replies to the post, I know I am not alone. So, in an effort to get myself re-motivated, I decided to actually check my email for my websites and found the attached image of wonderful information...I was shocked to see that organic search was making up 60% of my visitors! Shocked and excited at the same time!I think this is one of the boosts that I have needed to get

What sucks?Let's call them time-suckers.Time-suckers are like vampires (who also suck). They suck away the time you have to do your work on your blogs. I deal with a lot of time-suckers in my life.I have to admit that I have an addiction. It is to video games. I could play video games for hours upon end! That's probably why I became friends with some at WA who have video games as their niche! But I barely have time for friends or work on my websites because of time-sucking video games. Each night

I share stuff about me. Not all the time, but quite often, if I think it can be of help to someone else.Like yesterday on Facebook, I shared that I had lost 30 pounds. I expected the usual comments like "Congratulations," etc. But one response pointed out to me why it is so important to share good things in our lives as well as our website posts on social media.I had been posting regularly about how I was eating differently to help reverse my type 2 diabetes and was losing weight while doing it

I don’t know what your future is, but if you’re willing to take the harder way, the more complicated one, the one with more failures at first than successes … then you will not regret it. – Chadwick Boseman, Howard University commencement speakerI've traveled roads so hard I didn't even know if there was a road at all. I live in snowy Minnesota, after all. I know other places have lots of snow, too. This is not a complaint about how the road I take is harder than the ro

50,000 words? In 30 days? Some would call this an impossible, insurmountable task. But those of us who write blogs know that it is possible. Some of us are writing 50,000 words on a regular basis (maybe not in 30 days, but over the course of a couple of months anyway).I do not want to be drawn away from writing my blog posts, but at the same time, I feel compelled to write fiction. It's been in my soul to be a storyteller since as early as I can remember. This desire to tell stories through the

Have you ever had the "joy" of listening to a 5 and a 6-year-old debate about whether reindeer can fly? Or how about an argument over who made who cry?I'm watching one of my other granddaughters this weekend and she and my granddaughter who lives with me like to argue—about everything! They argue over how many stars are in the sky or who sounds the most like a baby kitten. They argue over who was naughtiest. And who was the nicest. They argue over which words are swear words and who said

Success is when preparation and opportunity meet. ~ Bobby UnserHave you seen success lately? If not, why not? I know I haven't seen much—a sale or two on Amazon—but that's about it.I can tell you why, though. It's because I haven't been doing much with my blogs. In fact, the last time I wrote a post for any of my sites was over a month ago. It isn't that I don't have ideas—I have hundreds, maybe thousands of scraps of paper and notebooks and notes on my computer and notes on

What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us. What we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal. ~ Albert PikeIn a world where there are "no absolutes" it is a joy to know that what we do for others and the world can be a lasting tribute to the fact that we were here, that we existed.I think most of us would like to feel like we are important and that what we do matters in the grand scheme of things. I can speak only for myself, but I know that I was made for more!Leaving

I may have shared this story before, so if I did I apologize in advance. But even if I did share it previously, it is a good story and is a good repeat! The tale (or tail?) of two dogsThere is a story they tell of two dogs. Both, at separate times, walk into the same room. One comes out wagging his tail, while the other comes out growling.A woman watching this goes into the room to see what could possibly make one dog so happy and the other so mad.To her surprise, she finds a room filled with mirr

I hadn't checked my Amazon affiliate page for a few weeks, but I decided to do so today and was surprised to see that my site had another sale! It wasn't huge, but a lot of little things add up, right?!Just when I feel like I have lost hope in my work on my websites, they go and make a sale for me and renew my belief in all of this!WA works, people! Without the incredible training and resources I have from WA I truly believe I would still be saleless! Now I've made six sales on a little site ab
