Fulfilling your destiny

I don't know what your destiny is. Sometimes I am not even sure I know what mine is. But one thing I do know for sure is that we each have to find and fulfill our own. I can't do yours and you can't do mine.

Let's refer this to one of my favorite's the Late Jim Rohn. Rohn said, "If you don't design your own life plan (I read this as "destiny"), chances are you'll fall into someone else's plan. And guess what they have planned for you? Not much. ~Jim Rohn

We have to follow our dreams, our goals, our plans, our destiny! Can we "choose" our destiny? Maybe not, but we can choose the direction that we go. We can choose how we act and react. We are not automatons without feeling or ability to act independently.

In the movie Dangerous Minds starring Michelle Pfeiffer, Pfeiffer's character is Louanne Johnson. She said something to the students that has always stuck with me. This isn't her quote exactly, but my paraphrase of that quote. She said, "We can all make choices. It may not be a choice you like, but you can still make the choice." (My very rough paraphrase/translation.)

We all get to decide things in our lives. We may not always like the choices that we have, but we can decide.

When the winds change, we must change. We must struggle to our feet once more and reset the sail in the manner that will steer us toward the destination of our own deliberate choosing. ~Jim Rohn

Today is the day that we can make the choice that will lead us to fulfilling our individual destiny. What choices will you make?
