Enjoy The Journey. Three weeks on..
Well it's a little over three weeks since I first uncovered Wealthy Affiliate as I began trawling the internet in search of the wild animal called 'Affiliate Marketing'.
There seemed to be a lot of opportunities to make a lot of money by doing not a lot. 'Just sign up here and pay this money and I'll share my secrets.!'
Now to be frank I have learned that 'money for nothing' is a myth, a phantom, something that simply doesn't exist.
My understanding of 'Success' has been defined by many great authors over time and has in ALL cases required excess effort over extended periods of time, when others thought it couldn't be done, and, even when the odds seemed stacked against victory.
Financial security has always been something that I have longed to achieve, but alas, the vehicle had yet to present itself.
I came across Wealthy Affiliate and immediately it appeared to tick all of the boxes.
- a training system that you could work your way through in your own time,
- a minimal monthly outlay, if you want to go Premium, and after 3-4 days why wouldn't you
- a programme that enables you to learn from others that have already achieved what they are teaching
- the ability to associate with other success-minded individuals for fellowship and support
To date I am progressing through the training and have learned some really valuable stuff. I am still a little confused about some things, not knowing if they are things I am supposed to have covered, or still yet to cover. I am trying not to put too much pressure on myself which has been a challenge for me in the past, but continue to knock away each day with another lesson at least.
I am really appreciating the camaraderie and support from my new WA friends and the support that goes with it.
To those newer than me, dig in, get your feet wet and go for it.
To those that are continually putting up new stuff keep up the good work and thank you for your efforts as they certainly are appreciated.
To each and everyone I say...Enjoy the Journey!

Great post - we are all on this journey together.
For me, first was the excitement of discovery, the feeling of certainty that I don't need to look any further. Then there was the overwhelm at just how much there is to learn here, but slowly, now am starting to see my way forward. Whew! Carrying me forward through the panic at the discovery of the vastness of this platform and bottomless well of information, was the humour and ever reassuring and encouraging presence of the community. Davey points it out so well....... Rome wasn't built in a day, and we can't expect our businesses to be, either. That put it into perspective for me. This is no race!
This is a great place to learn. The best is the fact that you can go at your own pace. I am taking my time also.
