i know it effects google ranks and my adsense page showed my site health is down saying it needs to be faster so what are some things I can do to make it such?
I'll have to play with it and nathaniell I saw you talk about site speed a little on your google webinar so I figured I would ask to see what I could change, but as far as I can tell my site seems fast but my ranks have fallen a bit in google so I didn't know if this had anything to do with it. But thanks for all the feedback guys
If your site seems fast, then you probably don't have to worry about it. It's just something to keep in mind. Rank will come and go, especially for new sites.
This site can give you some suggestions gtmetrix.com but a lot of them are advanced. Make sure you don't have a bunch of plugins and make sure you images are not too big (then need to be resized for each visitor), something like wpshushit is popular for optimizing images. Also, do not use too many social buttons!
Hey Josh I just had a bo-peep at your site and ran it through a tool I use and the only thing it came up with was an absence of meta keywords and descriptions. As far as the speed goes, it didn't seem too slow, but I'd take a look at the plugins you are using, as Jen has suggested.
You also might consider signing up for Google Webmaster tools - this is a real help in sorting out problems, after all.
The tool I use is SEO Quake. Download it free. It runs as a browser extension and gives an analysis of every page you visit

Make sure you have plugins that you only need. Too many plugins that are not necessary can slow down your site, as well.
I know large graphics will slow down your site - make sure they are no to big.
... videos too - keep them on youtube
I don't know how long you've been using adsense, but I've noticed a red arrow 1 day turns into a green arrow the next without changing anything. You could check to see if you have any active plugins that are not absolutely necessary.

I got an email from someone to put my website in a forum submission service were they add a link of my site to thousands for forums for a set price has anyone ever heard of this
Total spam. Run for the hills. You don't want to take part in anything that is "automated" in respect to submissions or content creation. It will only do more harm than good.
This stuff is about 5 years behind the times.
