I have multiple themes on my site. Does it hurt load time or anything? should I remove them? How might I do that?

thanks all

Thank you all very much!

It is very easy to do. The tutorial at the link below shows you how to change, manage and delete themes.

If you don't need the themes best to remove them just like plugins if not needed that can be trashed and removed.

Zed (smartketeer) has shown you how to do this

Andre

It's always best to keep your back office clean and tidy, so if you don't use the themes , there's no point in having them stored on your dashboard.
Go to themes and click on "details" in the bottom right-hand corner or maybe let, you will see delete press that and it will be gone

Go to Appearance => Themes, hover your mouse over a theme, click Theme Details and you'll see a Delete button in the bottom right corner.

Thank you so much for the information!

You're welcome!

WA Affiliate Program
Updated

I set up my affiliate too soon. 3 orders should not be hard. My attempting to finish the pages first has bitten me now. Is there any chance someone could make an order thru one

Hi, WA is not the place to ask fellow members to click on your affiliate links. This will be for the wrong reasons, to get 3 or more orders in your site should be on merit only. You should only be applying to the Amazon Affiliate program when you have 1) A good amount of content on your site, and 2) When you have a consistent flow of traffic into your site. My advice therefore is to work on your content and build your traffic, then re-apply to Amazon.

Thanks for your opinion. I just wanted to let you know some of the backstory that I did not place in the request. Perhaps I should have.
I have been approved and it went thru and was approved with no problem and with more than the 3 orders required. Amazon has a system that kicked out a relatively large number of orders (since I needed only 3 and had nearly 20 that were placed) that were placed naturally. I had no clue who placed them. Amazon wouldn't explain their process for determining legitimacy, and just said we have a system. That system decided I knew the people that placed the orders. I still don't know them.
One office was telling me I was at only 2 qualified sales and another said I had 5. When all was said and done enough came in and was recognized that they put me thru the process and all got approved. This was prior to anyone clicking thru for me and from merit.
That said, a person from WA did actually click thru and order something (they were ordering anyway). I had seen other threads where people needed help, which is why I posted the question. This person was in one of those threads.
In the end, I had no need for the order or the help, as Amazon decided to count things they kicked out and others flowed in as well. I will say, even though it was not actually needed, the person placing an order, just to help, made my heart smile.
I do agree with you that we should not use WA to subvert the system. I do greatly appreciate your wisdom in that.
I also am a firm believer that when your ox is in a ditch your neighbors should help (and vice versa) and I am appreciative of the person that threw me a rope to help.
This is a great place with great people. In a multitude of council, we find wisdom. Thanks for being a part of that multitude in this for me. You rock.

Can't seem to make it want to check my blogs email which makes it way more difficult to check multiple addresses than I feel it should be.

Hey John,

Google searching "setting up webmail on a MAC" (without the quotation marks, of course) there are posts offering tips. Am wondering if those may be of help to you, if you run the same (or similar) search.

Hope you find this helpful.

Thanks a ton. I do appreciate the effort you went to. Sadly it doesn't work. The issue I am having is in the appropriate incoming outgoing server settings. It just won't connect. I love everything Mac. Even though they can't seem to make email work as easy as everything else.

Hmmm... I wonder if SiteSupport may be able to help you with this issue. It wouldn't hurt to ask, explaining all the steps you have taken to no avail. That way they may just be able to figure out the step you're missing or whatever. Just a thought...

Thanks. they were able to tell me the exact things to type into which parts to trick it into working. lol Thanks for sticking with me. You Rock!

This is good to know John. Thank YOU for letting me know... you rock too! :-))

So quick and fast questions. Can I host an eLearning site that my blog is linking to on WA? If not.... anyone know of a good place to go for hosting one?

Thanks all

Why not?

Yes and why not have a WA link on it as well.
That way you would get the credit for the referrals.
Robert-A

Yes you can. You can use WA to host niche sites
