Most exciting WA day ever!
Earlier this week I read a really timely article by a fellow WA'er PaulOsborne. I'm certain you saw it too, because how could you NOT click on that! The article was fascinating and the strategy was sound. I followed the instructions immediately and posted a BuzzFeedesque article online. I shared it on twitter and facebook, and at first...it didn't seem to get much attention. A click or two. "Oh well" I thought and started back to my normal routine.
Last night, while working on editing a video for my YouTube channel, I clicked over to Google Analytics to see what was new. I really enjoy the RealTime overview, watching people pop in and out of my site. One at a time...every now and then...
Except today, what was up? Hey there are 6 visitors on my site right now! No, 7! The world map looks like a christmas tree. What the heck! I go over to facebook and see that my article post has been shared multiple times by people I don't know! The traffic keeps coming! It's gone mini-viral!
Up until yesterday, my best Session count ever was 42, that was tied into an exclusive YouTube premier agreement with a well known geocaching video producer.
Last night, this post blew that out of the water with 360 sessions!
The traffic is still going strong and my monetization pages are getting attention too! Is this just a flash in the pan or will this continue? One thing for sure, as MagiStudios recommended, I'm going to Rinse and Repeat with another article just like it!
