Who doesn't love avocados? One of my favorite foods of all time, you can add it to pretty much everything. But did you know Mexico is the #1 producer of Avocados in the world? What makes Avocados so unique? To start, obviously its taste, its consistency, color, and culinary versatility.
The U.S is the principal importer of Avocados from Mexico, almost 10 thousand tons every year followed by France, Japan, and Canada.
Other industries also benefit from the properties of this "gift from the gods" from a variety of oils, lotions, soaps, to creams and hair products. The avocado is a source of vitamins A, C, E, as well as vitamin B1, and minerals like magnesium, calcium, iron, and zinc, that make it a powerful and delicious multivitamin.

I'm going to have to tell my youngest sister that last bit. lol. Mario, I'm a chef and have used avocados for many things, but my 2 favorite ways of eating them are as guacamole and also using the softer ones like mayonnaise.
