I kind of did give my kids a challenge. I'd give them each money and they got to choose how to spend it. I taught them about money early and 2 out of the 3 have done well. Keep in mind finance was my 9-5 too. More kids need to learn that money doesn't simply come from an ATM.~Debbi

Might work for some teens. Parents that lead by example are the real answer I believe.

My kids were raised with financial responsibility, but it didn't take. They probably wouldn't do a course like this. If kids will take it, it probably will help. I couldn't see where to leave a comment on your post. Sorry.

When I went to school I had a class that was just simply called Activities Class. It went over basic things that you should know when you get older. Excellent youth training. :))

I think all children should receive managing money as part of their education, even life skills.. I tried to leave a comment on your site could not find where to put it.. My children where taught the value of money, spending and general life skills

Hi Jim, I have two teens in the house who are doing just fine, they are paying their own bills, and keep money on the bank, I do not see the need for my kids, but there surely will be kids who need this.
