Thank you for sharing, very interesting. Happy to hear that this process is helping you.

Thank You Linda, so far it is and I'm happy with the meditation:)

Thanks for the sharing. I too strongly believe that meditation is an alternative cure for health problems besides medication. I have seen closed friends turning to this option and it really helps improve them tremendously in a way.

As saying goes, "No health, no wealth".

May the the best of health and wealth be with you always.

Agnes

You are very wise Agnes to say "No health, no wealth". Our health comes first and foremost.

Happy you believe and have seen first hand the excellent health value and therapeutic qualities in meditation:)

I am a big believer in the power of meditation. I find that using the app Calm - there's a free and paid version - makes it easier to incorporate into my life o a daily basis.

I'm glad you finally found something that worked:)

Erica

I use the app "Headspace" Erica in addition to Dr. Lee's regimen, and that is working very well. I also take yoga once per week in a beautiful church with 60 ft, high painted fresco ceilings.

Thanks and keep up the meditation!

Amazing story you had shared. Glad to know that meditiation has helped you. It takes a lot of discipline to incorporate into daily life.

Thanks Steve, I appreciate that support. Meditation is great for all types of maladies in life, I am totally convinced now:)

If you don't yet, I will happily return the favor when yours is up.:)

Hi Kaju, the art of meditation is something I have been trying to incorporate into my life for a while now. Your article has given me the motivation to learn more about it and start practicing it.
Thank you,
Dominick.

Very happy to hear Dom, it certainly has helped me. So I would highly recommend that you begin to incorporate it into your life, even for 5-10 minutes per day.

Wishing you the best,
Kaju

Yes kaju, I have written it down in my journal (my daily list of goals).
All the best,
Dominick.

Fabulous!

Excellent, I wish you great success!:)
Let us know how your progress goes!

Glad to hear that the art of meditation has helped you with your medical issues Kaju. I've studied martial arts for many years and the only disappointment I've ever had with the training was that they never taught the fascinating art of meditation.

I've been researching different books and DVD"S but there are so many of them, I'm confused on who I can trust, in our business we know to look out for scams. But I'll keep researching until I think I find the right one.

Love the post Kaju, awesome as always!

Thank You Florencio, I never knew you studied martial arts, that's great:) Dr. Lee is a friend of my my significant other, and he is a very trusted source, so I am lucky in that regard.

If I didn't have a contact, I would be confused as to who to trust too. Wishing you all the best, and hope you find what you're searching for.

Thank you Kaju, you're blessed to have Dr.Lee in your life.

Yes I am. He has helped in many ways. Thank You:)

I have been a keen fan of meditation for almost 45 years. Combine that with a Positive Mental Attitude and a Healthy Lifestyle. I would say is a recipe for a well-balanced life. At 71 I feel my life has just been begun. Seventy is the new 50 for me.

Youtube has excellent videos on yoga -my wife and I practice some of the exercises for 25 minutes a day. Laughter is also good for the heart as it lowers blood pressure and can reduce heart attacks and strokes

I am happy for you that Qigong has made a difference to your health.

Richard

Thank You Rich, that is wonderful that you and your wife practice meditation daily. I feel it a great stress reliever, and it can extend your life.

Qigong has made a huge difference, and its been great so far, I will keep practicing it. Thank You for sharing Rich, and keep meditating. :)

Oops! Haven't made it to bed yet. Really enjoyed your post. I had a Gigong massage many years ago when I first moved to NC. It really helped the fatigue and pain from my fibromyalgia. Unfortunately, I don't know where the man who did it for me is now.

As I was reading your post and marveling about the improvement in your bradycardia, the thought occurred to me that maybe it will help your dystonia as well. Have you asked Dr. Lee about exercises or meditations that would help?

Unfortunately I don't believe it can for the dystonia. I've discussed it with Dr. Lee. Never say never though.

I am making an appointment to see another specialist at Mt Sinai Berth Israel Hospital for that this week, a specialist who supposedly made a recent breakthrough recently with the treatment.

Okay, now its time to go to bed:)

I'd be really interested in what the new guy says. Is he a neurologist specializing in dystonias?

Yes he is, and he collaborated with the original FD expert who treated me in 2011 at Columbia Presbyterian.

However, they claim to have done new case studies that have provided new remedies since 2016.

He does the botox injections like some of the earlier ones, but the new case studies found the better place where to administer the injections

Oh, Kaju, it would be so wonderful if they do have something new that would help you. Will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Thanks for yours. Hopefully after all the treatments, MY fingers won't be crossed....Oyy!!

Certainly hope so! Let me know what the doc says when you see him. You can PM me if you like. I have a professional interest in the medical aspects of your situation, and would love to know how you're doing.

Awesome, I certainly will do. I didn't know you were in the medical field.

I'm a retired occupational therapist.

Gorgeous!

I loved it! Had to quit practicing when I was only 51 because of an old neck injury when my 1964.5 Mustang and neck were totaled. Someone ran a stop sign and T-boned me in the driver's door. Couldn't lift my patients any more. That's why I understood what you were going through with your dystonia...we had to grieve the loss of the life
we loved and adapt to the "new you".

Yes, ahh NOW I remember your story, how you couldn't lift the elderly woman from the bed to the chair due to that injury:)

Yeah, actually it was from the commode to the wheelchair, but same difference, same results.

That's Right. Now I remember!
Okay I'm off to my 2nd Qigong session now, see you!

Enjoy!

2nd session was very good:)

Great! Feeling better?

YES!!!

Wonderful! Keep up those treatments.

They seem to be working:)

Super!

Dr. Lee is waiting for my on Friday:)

Wonderful. Do you think it's having any effect on your hand?

Yes, the hand is improving. That's gonna be another blog post soon.

Oh, WOW, Kaju! That's FABULOUS news!!!

:):)

It sounds like what I need Kaju. I am so glad it is working for you!

I feel much better when I do my own stretching (kind of like yoga). Since I can't get any strenuous exercise due to all my problems, I can get very stiff and sore. I am glad I am getting well enough to do some normal things now but it is still very restrictive.

Glad you are stretching Jessica. I am also doing yoga once per week on a Tuesday (inside a church with a beautiful ceiling) and this I find very grounding.

However, the qigong is something I would definitely try, all I can say is that my episodes of bradycardia have drastically reduced since I've been doing it.

Also if you can't do this, I'd highly recommend downloading a meditation program on your smartphone (I use "Headspace"), and meditating at least for 5-10 minutes everyday. It really helps.

Thanks Kaju. I really need a new phone. Mine is so old (iPhone 4s)...yes...4...that it can't handle much anymore. I bogged it down with thousands of pictures of cats, pretty flowers, Alaskan scenery etc.

I will definitely do this as soon as I get a new phone. My husband has been trying to get me one for years...I have finally agreed but his vehicle is in the shop this week which will be over $1800.

Why don't you just download all of those photos (or a great deal of them) on your computer to free up memory on your phone, Jessica?

If not, you might also be able to download a meditation program on your computer.

I have saved them all now and deleted many but not all of them. The poor thing doesn't even have enough room left to be able to handle updates so it has not been updated in 9 months either.

I didn't want to get a new phone for a long time since it had voicemails, texts etc. from my Dad. We just recently figured out how to save all those so now I can get a new one.

That's great, do whatever you can to enable some type of meditation program. Or you can just read up online, of how to meditate properly. It is worth a try for your health Jessica.

Wonderful news that you're feeling better! ... what would we ever do without you>>> ... Qigong is a very powerful energy art form for health benefits, relaxation & connection with the Universe... :)

Keep well dear One... :)

p.s. came across Sasquatch420 this evening who signed up as Premium -- mentioned to him that you might have already met up with him in the wilds last week! .... lol ... for real! .... :)

Such awesome news K, both in the realm of Sasquatch and the Universe. Thanks so much!!

you're most welcome! ... what are 'virtual' buddies good for?! ... enjoy & stay happy in glee ... :)

Yes I will try through moving meditation:)
