The sitemap seems, or at least to me, to show duplicate pages because of the use of tags. If not someone please explain. Also, what is the best use of tags, how many should be

No, onlyif you create the same content on multiple pages

You can check yourself to see if you have duplicate content and here's how

http://www.muslimahwebdesign.co.uk/wordpresstutorials/duplicate-content-penalty-myth/

A tag is similar to categories. The bottom of your article will list any tags you've assigned to them and make them clickable so your readers can see a list of all articles with the same tags. It's not considered duplicate content:)

By using tags am i actually creating duplicate content?

Webmaster says that my site is being redirected from
http://www.brevardmedicalmassage.com to http://brevardmedicalmassage.com and gives the little caution triangle.

I

Street article. Great idea.

Hi Jessica, You should be able to tell Google which one to use for your site, the URL without the www. or the www. one. I know in regular webhosting accounts you can do a 301 redirect on one of the the website URL's so that it redirects to the other, and only one can be shown.
Really the main problem is that if you do not make a choice, then searches can go to different url's for the same page. This could split the reputation of that content between the URLs. Here are two links that may help.
http://www.sitepoint.com/domain-www-or-no-www/, and
http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/seo-advice-url-canonicalization/.
Best wishes on your endeavors.

I had the same issue the other day. I resubmitted the next day everything was good. I think it is an issue with webmaster tools.

looking on your site map and see that there is no www either http://brevardmedicalmassage.com/sitemap.xml so we need to find out where did www came from and if it is not issue with the way you added to webmaster then you need to do 301 redirect to all of those links

So then, the ultimate way to fix this is what? I don't know how to fix it. Is the problem with webmaster or the sitemap?

ok site maps are ok. issue probably with webmaster. Add Site to webmaster tools without WWW. See if there are Crawl issues, there could be lots and google see that you do not fix them and think you are not serious about your site) But I could be wrong. Any way lets start with adding proper site first

post-170 post type-post status-publish format-standard hentry category-uncategorized tag-home tag-lmt tag-massage-therapist tag-massage-therapy tag-melbourne

Are you not using categories at all? have a look on this video https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/the-differences-between-posts-pages this could eb another problem as I can see that it is uncategorised

Are you creating links to your site using: http://www. brevardmedicalmassage?
If so, you'll want to stop using www.
As far as Street Articles goes, are you hoping to get direct traffic, or improve your site rank? Article marketing does very little (if anything) for your site rank. You're better off publishing content on your own site.

even without www is said broken link, and I have noted that I have gained some rank, maybe not much, by using streetarticles. This is my local business site and I can get it to climb rank pretty easy as just going for local keyword searches the competition is pretty low, so maybe thats why it helps a little, I dont know. whats bad is it seems that my rank gets worse as I publish new content but maybe it all has to do with this redirect, its been doing this for a couple weeks after working just fine for months ;(

but why the sudden redirect? It was fine for months...

It seems like over time, Google crawls your site more thoroughly and discovers problems in how things link together. I was looking at my Webmaster tools a couple days ago and noticed 24 crawl errors. Yikes!
Luckily, it shows you which pages have the "broken" links so you can go in and just create a working link in place of the broken one.

ok I see that you have www there in first link, where is you site hosted? which site did you added to webmaster tools?
Update:
From https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/richsnippets I can see tha all link below uses no www
So I think you added www.site to the webmaster tools and this is your problem.

I added it as www.brevardmedicalmassage.com, if i type it in with or without the www it still pulls up fine lol. I just dont understand why it would be redirecting in the first place, just spontaneously, or why street articles would show that the link is broken. Broken how? How the hell do i fix it? lol.

ok as you can see from your sitemap there is no www, so i would recommend adding it normal way

but why all the sudden? Thats what I don't get...and do you think this is affecting my rank or how my site is being indexed?

is this affecting how my site is indexed, cause since this crap started my rank has dropped, im wondering if this is the cause...

could be

there could be another factors as you can have there crawl erorrs and they won be displayed correctly if site not added correctly to webmaster tools. try adding without www and see f there is more info for you

I submitted a sitemap about 2 weeks ago and it is still processing. What could the delay be? Also under crawl stats it gives me the caution arrow and says redirected...why? anyon

Hi Jessica,

It would easier to answer your question if you post your website in question.

I do have a hunch that you may have submitted your site within Google Webmaster Tools as www whereas you didn't need to add the www.

Jay

I dont really know where to place the blog to make the website itself more SEO friendly. I have it on its own page. Before the way I had it was 4 static pages and the blogs onl

Hope this is a good place to get an answer to this. I just changed my MsMoneyByDesign site to a static home page. Feedback was that it was unclear when a visitor got to the site what it was about. So now the static home page will say that. Seems to make sense to me so far.
Now I don't know where my blog posts go. I looked at some of the trainings and still go understand.
* When I hit "add post" where is it going now?
* I have some posts already partly written that had been on the front page. I don't know where they go when I change the setting to "static front page".
Can some tell me in simple language how to do this? Or direct me to the "simple" training on this. xxoo Karen

There is a white bar at the top of your screen (just to the left of the plane icon) That is the place to ask questions like these:)

I would make your blog a post, that way in the future you can create more posts which will engage your audience more. Like your tab "Massage Therapy-How it can help" you have listed the benefits of massage therapy. But if they are in posts on your homepage then your audience can learn, sift through, and read more content right there from short snippets, instead of clicking on each tab and having to scroll down to find what they are looking for. In my opinion it makes the site more interesting and also creates more links to other points of interest on your site.

SEO is all done when you index your pages or posts, Creating a title, description and making sure your title and description are somewhere in your first paragraph will ensure your sites pages and posts are optimized.

If you are thinking about SEO purposes, it shouldn't matter which way you arrange the pages and blog. You could add specific categories in the sidebar if you want to do it that way.

Since it is a service business, I think it would be better to have a static homepage. Then add a page for the blog. Others might have better suggestions.

Thats what I did but i dont know honestly if that is the best option

If you are targeting "massage therapy", then every post you write about massage therapy should link back to your massage therapy page.
