Amazon One Link - Sweet!
Have you seen Amazon's new feature called Amazon One Link?
Amazon has rolled out this new feature to help US associates to monetize international traffic to their sites from the UK and Canada.
I went through the process of integrating the new Amazon One Link feature on all my sites this morning and it was pretty simple.
You will need to create Amazon UK and Canada accounts if you don't already have them. You will also have the option of linking to several other countries/regions in the Amazon Associates network later in the process if you choose to do so.
After setting up your new accounts, you will then link the accounts to your US Amazon Store ID and verify.
After this, you will get a snippet of code that you will need to put on your site.
The code allows Amazon to show UK and Canada visitors to see "exact match", or "close match" products available to them when they click on your affiliate links. The default setting is "close match" for maximum conversion, according to Amazon.
I left that setting as default.
I think the new Amazon One Link is an awesome feature for those of us who use Amazon Associates as our main affiliate program.
Who knows how many sales have been lost in the past. My sites do see quite a bit of traffic from the UK and Canada.
I went through process of integrating the new Amazon One Link on all my websites already, so let me know if you have any questions and I will be happy to help when & where I can.
What are your thoughts on the new Amazon One Link?

I can't get the god damn thing to work :( I am very frustrated.
I pasted the code AFTER the /body tag.
Yikes Mike!
Did you follow the training I put together step by step?
If not, you can check it out with the link below. How To Add Amazon One Link I will be out for a while, but I will be happy to help when I can.
Ah you know what, I am sorry about the foul language. Turns out it was ADBLOCKER that was blocking the redirects (i feel like an idiot haha)
Great training however!!! For anyone reading this, IT WORKS.
Hey everyone...Happy Independence Day!
I did a quick training tutorial on how to add Amazon One Link to your website. How To Add Amazon One Link Hope it helps you all.
My Amazon analytics is showing that it is working properly.
Have a great day ~Jeremy
No problem.
I just want to make sure it's working properly before I offer up too much advice. :)
This is brand new for Amazon too, so I'm sure they will have bugs to work out also.

Just saw this today.. definitely makes up for them cutting commissions - lots of my traffic comes from Canada. Where exactly do I put the code. That's the only part I'm confused about
The snippet of code goes after the closing body tag in your theme footer php.
Awaiting some more data to see how it's working.
Should have some numbers tomorrow morning.

Hi Jeremy, this is the first time to hear about it. Can you give as link, or even better write a training.
Hey jovo.
Heading to a BBQ in a few. Will do up a training soon if I can find the time. :)
If you want to get started, log into your associates account and it will probably be the first thing you see.
Yes I just noticed it, have to see how it works. I have accounts with several Amazon stores but use only US because my EasyAzon plugin did not work properly. It was a high time that Amazon makes such a tool itself.

Okay. So this means that I need to have separate accounts for Amazon Canada, Amazon US and all other countries that I want to add to OneLink?
Secondly, what about existing affiliate links that I have on my site linking to Amazon UK? Will they get replaced automatically?
Your feedback will be much appreciated :)
Yes, you will need individual accounts for each.
Your affiliate links are not "replaced" with Amazon One Link, rather, visitors are "redirected" to the proper store of the region the visitor arrived from.
Make sense?
This redirect happens automatically, so after the implementation of One Link on your website, there is nothing further for you to do.
Yeap. Got it, thanks :)
You're welcome :)
