Frightfully Frigid Felt Finally Fire Fine!
Hello everyone here in Wealthy Affiliate!
Last night, I got the fire going and I stayed up a lot longer than usual to keep it going!
It was going very well when I finally got to bed.
I chatted with my mother for a while, and even got t hear from Monica again too!
When I retired for the evening, I must admit that I slept very well!
Once I woke up--an hour and a half beyond when I normally wake up, I was quite pleased to see that there was still a partial log burning, along with some assorted coals, and I got the fire built back up quicker then I though I would!
I also took care of getting Kitty fed, and getting some coffee made too.
Then it was time to get on the computer for the normal morning sojourn into the vibrant Wealthy Affiliate Community, of course!
This routine has worked very well for me over the 6 years that I have been here! (Even though, I essentially goofed off for the first two!)
Quite surprisingly, that did not take too long either!
When I completed that I ventured outside and captured some images of the new snow day.
It was not as much as I had expected, which was good, but we were still under a blizzard warning too, though!
The day, as it progresses, will be carefully monitored, but, unless I have pressing matters, I have no plans to go anywhere at all, if I can help it!
I chatted with Mel Waller for about a half hour, and then my buddy Kevin up in Nebraska (he was off today) called to rant about the weather, and about his wife's doctors appointments--which were all canceled, and also schools were canceled too!
That is what a blizzard warning does, and they have a lot more snow up there right now, than we have here, but I know that much more is coming, unless the forecast is flawed!
The fire has been kept going despite some hardships in doing so, but the house is much warmer now! It has not been that bad today, but I know it might be tomorrow!
We managed to make it to 34 degrees. It will likely drop drastically later, but who knows? Maybe it won't! That is Kansas weather for you! I am still glad that I got all my errands accomplished yesterday.

I have worked pretty hard to keep it going! Then, I decided that since the snow had not been so bad yet, to warm up the truck again!
I stayed in it for about 30 minutes, because tomorrow will be the worst day!
Then after that, we should be a little better, but we never know! We just have to take life one day at a time!
That is really all that we can do!
I will post this now, and as long as I have power, I will be hanging around!
I will remain on the computer as long as I can, so we shall see!
I HOPE THAT EVERYONE HAD A MONUMENTAL MONDAY! i WISH I WOULD HAVE, BUT I MANAGED TO GET THROUGH IT AS SNOW SEEMS TO BE FALLING SPORADICALLY! THE MIDWEST OF THE UNITED STATES IS UNDER A BLIZZARD WARNING!

You do well at keeping that fire going, Jeff. It can be quite tiring attending regularly to a fire. However, the warmth gained makes the effort very worthwhile.
I remember the fires lit by my parents when I was a child, as well as those lit by my husband in our own home for about thirty years. Home fires in New Zealand homes are few these days. The heating is predominantly obtained through electrical appliances! The reason for that was some regulation set by the government. If I remember correctly, it applies to residential areas, only. It's amazing how things can be, and are changed throughtout the decades!

We are supposed to get snow tonight and then turning to rain tomorrow, just to turn back into snow on Wednesday... Michigan weather, you never know!

Our Wolverines will be playing in the national championship game tonight, so I will be watching that.

I do love wood heat! It seems to get through you to your very bones much better than other kinds of heat. Haven't built a fire here lately for a couple of days, as it's not been too cold...30s and 40s. I know it's coming, though.
We had a light snow here this morning, but not much. We're actually due for a few days of sun, so perhaps it will all leave again. I do hope it melts the snow off my car, or will have to go out and shovel it off!
Last night's moose roast was delicious, and have plenty of fine leftovers for tonight. We are lucky up here to have access to so much excellent game and fish. Has your mom gotten to eat any wild game yet?

Hibernation is definitely in order, Jeff! Good job on the fire. Looks plenty toasty. Hopefully you don't get too much snow. We will be getting part of that as well tomorrow. But it is January, so you never know what'll be lol. Have a great evening!
