We can only use around 5 or 6 Plug-ins???

WELL GUESS WHAT LIKE THE TITLES SAYS I'M USING OVER A DOZEN PLUG-INS!!

AND I CAN ADD MANY MORE Without MY SITE SLOWING DOWN!! INFACT MY SITE ONLY TAKES A FEWS SECONDS TO LOAD UP!

But I know one thing is for sure my site is a COMPLETE MONSTER NOW and I think everyone here Should Have The Same Chance Also!!

So here are some of the main Plug-ins that I would pop on your site ASAP!! and only if they work well with the ones you already have... so you might need to change some in and out :)
1 All In One SEO Pack
2 GDPR Cookie Consent
3 Google XML Sitemaps
4 WP Sitemap Page
5 WP Super Cache

6 WP Edit

7?

8?

9?

10?

11?

12?

13? try as many as you want just make sure it does not take more then a few seconds to load you site and make sutre to delete the cache all the time great for speed also!

Copy these and paste them right into the search bar in the Plug-ins.
They can't be any different or sometimes they won't show up :)
I do have many more plug-ins after these ones but these should do the trick!!
Make sure you check the site speed after your done.
And Thank you Thank You! Suzieq!! You are amazing!! :)
I hope this helps!! Good Luck Everyone!!

I will worry about too many plug ins when my site slows. It seems like as long as they all get along well with others, all is ok. Kinda like humans.

If it helps you get thousands of hits a day you may be on to something.

If you don't have two plugins that conflict with one another then you can have as many as you want, I know someone who has 76 plugins on one site without any problems

I agree I have more than 5 or six and I haven’t had an issue with slow load times. On my other site I only use a few and they both preform good

I have 10 plugins on my site. I don't know how anyone could get along with just five.

Hi if you don’t mind my asking, do you find your site plspeed slows down significantly because of that? Thanks

I have 7 at present myself

Hi Jed
Be great if you shared it here with everyone as it will help those who need to learn this
Just a thought

Some of the top sites have over 60 plugins. I’ve been told not to worry about as those parts of training really need updating. We have 11 and are fine as well.

This myth about 5 plugin originates from a video by Matt Cutts who said he did not need more than 5. So people thought this was a golden rule. Nowadays everybody has more plugins. I have them 8 - 12 dependent on the site.

But why not write a training here, plugins do slow down a site so this would be most helpful. I would be interested to know for sure, just wonder if it is a good idea that we all send you messages for a request, there is a big crowd here.

Good idea

I was actually scared to add more plugins to a point where I had to take out a couple of plugins because I was told my website was loading slow.

I'm not sure how slow was "slow" since it seemed to load fine for me but in fear, I took it off... I guess I can go ahead and add them back!

It isn't about the number of your plugins. Is about their quality.

You can have 50 professional, lightweight plugins and a fast site, and you can have 5 plugins that will slow down your site

Besides "A FEWS SECONDS TO LOAD UP" could be bad if is more than 2 seconds

Have you got info on this zed that you can share with WA as it would be good to know what, when and why?
Vicki

What do you mean Vicki?

Yes, I also would like you to expand on this.

Are you able to write a few notes on some quality plugins, what they do and for what reason. Also how to know whether or not they will clash with one another.

Please and thank you

Terri

Thanks for you feedback Terri!

So ... "a few notes on some quality plugins, what they do and for what reason" ...

Each plugin has been designed to complete a given task. What I'm trying to say ... there are no "general" notes on "some" quality plugins.

For any task there are dozens of available free or paid plugins out there. The goal is to find the best, smallest, most reliable plugin for the given task.

And for that you'll have to perform a quick research, to check out, the number of total downloads and installs, to read some reviews and customer feedbacks, to check out the date of the last provided plugin update, etc, etc

And the second question "how to know whether or not they will clash with one another"

You won't. You need to try it to find out.

If you have two (or more) plugins that are meant to solve similar problems (for example two SEO plugins), yes, most likely they will conflict ...

Otherwise you simply can't know how a new plugin will affect your existing configuration. This is why is always recommended to create a backup before installing a new plugin.
