Wow! This Was My First Website! (2006)
I just came across my very first website while doing some digging around tonight.
It's an ugly little blogger I started in September 2006 and it has a total of two posts.

It was also my first attempt at writing content. I actually started doing affiliate marketing in February 2006 but I only did direct linking to Clickbank sales pages using Google Adwords (the Google Cash method).
Back then creating a website was not as easy as it is now. There were all kinds of html editors and some drag and drop stuff. I think this was the easiest option I had. Even Wordpress wasn't as easy as it is now back in 2006.
By the way, I didn't make any money from that page. Just thought I would share this with the WA community. I'm looking forward to both the reactions from those who know what 2006 was like and those who are quite new to affiliate marketing.

I actually think it's pretty good for a first blog site. Seen a lot worse, even nowadays. I look at my website I've created now and tweak it here and there. I suppose we're never really fully content. There is always something in hindsight that goes through your mind. Isn't there?
Thanks. I think so too for the limited experience I had at the time. It's still ugly but I guess that's not my fault. Things have evolved since then so I guess that by today's standards, what we have available now makes this look like crap.
Still have three of my blogger blogs and my two websites with google. Use them now as local teaching sites. Blogspot still isn't as easy as wordpress. A year after (2007) got into a scam, thinking I 'd get a nice wordpress site in the process. with my iMac traveling. Epic fail. Those were the days everyone was out to sell but not to help, and there weren't all these YT videos either.
Five years later, so glad am in the WA - no comparison to the headaches I've gone through in the past. Am comfortable, safe and happy. Deep down, think we know we need to work hard for own sites and keep at it, because there is no success with someones locked website to earn from.

It's scary when you look back some of your first creations, I have some Blogger blogs which to be honest are not good at all but it was a good place to start with.
Relatively easy to use unlike wordpress which was really complicated to use.
My journey started in 2007 but I didn't get to grips with anything until I joined WA in 2008.
