4 Years at Wealthy Affiliate - It's Time to Share My Journey

After almost 5 years in internet marketing, 4 years at Wealthy Affiliate, I am not here to say I am some internet guru. I am not making 100k+ a year from internet marketing, nor am I making 1k/mo either. I probably make about $25-$50/mo consistently for the past 3 years.

So you are probably asking yourself, "So then why do I need to read this, why do I need to follow you?" The answer to that is, you don't....but if you do decide to read this, and if you do decide to continue to follow me or read some of my posts, every now and then in the future, I do promise this:

I will not hold anything back. All the mistakes I have made, I will share them with you. I will share my journey, as accurate as I can remember it, and will be fully transparent in my writing, and in answering any questions you may have as well.

I have shared my journey with many people I have met face to face, but I have never put it in writing.

In my 5 years learning internet marketing, 4 years with Wealthy Affiliate, I have learned tons. But some of the most valuable things I have learned in the business, especially blogging, is what NOT to do.

I hope as you continue to read and follow my story, that some of the lessons I have learned, will keep you from making some of the same mistakes, and therefore, help you to be even more successful, in a shorter period of time....

And I don't mean get rich quick, I just mean, help you to avoid some of the same pitfalls that I went through. Pitfalls that have extended my time toward reaching my goals.

If I can leave you one nugget on this first post, it is this. I have literally spent over 12k, in the past 5 years, on different internet systems out there, on different tools, plugins, website themes, sales funnel builders, autoresponders, etc, and if I could tell my old self, 4 years ago, it would be, ONLY use Wealthy Affiliate, and DON'T jump around to all the other stuff out there!

Don't get me wrong. It's not to say, that out of the 12k I have spent there weren't some good things out there, because there was and is, but, and this is key BUT, I would tell my old self, 4 years ago, to continue to learn and use Wealthy Affiliate until I started bringing in consistently, over 3k/mo for 6 months, in income.

I plan to post about once a week, and in my next post, I will tell you why I wish I could go back and warn myself. Until then...

Keep Fighting the Fight,

Jason Cancino

Congrats on the 4 years, Jason. I see that your previous blog is "Here is to 3 years."

Yes, you are correct Loes. The last time I blogged on the WA platform, was 1 year ago. And if you look at all my WA blog posts, it is only 14 in 4 years.

I will be blogging at least once a week this coming year. That is my commitment. For 3 reasons, this helps me really journal what I have been through, there are folks here on WA they may benefit from it, and I will turn many of these blog post into a mini autoresponder for those that want to learn internet marketing.

Thank you for sending the link, great post! :-)

You're very welcome πŸ‘

You have learned an amazing amount of information in the last 4 years and you are implementing it into your life and your blog.
Jerry

Thanks Jerry, I couldn’t agree more!πŸ˜€πŸ‘

Vicki

Thanks Vicki! πŸ˜€πŸ‘

You are so welcome and I hope the next 4 years bring all you work for :)

So, great you are sharing this post, Jason, four years already, time goes fast isn't? As you said, keep fighting have a dream, set goals and achieve them.
Jacqueline

Exactly Kerjackie...keep fighting the fight...one of my most favorite motivational speeches is from the movie Balboa. β€œLife is not about how hard you can hit, but about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward!”

Keep fighting the fight...and if you have won the fight, then coach and train others how to do the same!πŸ˜€πŸ‘

That's right, life is whatever it is, you have to fight all the time, in order to get stronger and be able to move forward.
Jacqueline

Thank you for sharing. Looking forward to your next posts. Best, Alenka

Thanks Alenka!πŸ˜€πŸ‘

Great attitude, keep going, all the best:)

Appreciate the words of encouragement!πŸ˜€πŸ‘

Great post, Jason! Good reminder to stay focused on what we have here. I appreciate your words of wisdom. Over the years before joining WA, I spent money on all of those other things and saw the schemes and scams out there. I'm here to learn all I can and implement it---however long that takes. Also, I appreciate your transparency. Taking time to build a business the right way is more important to me than building it as fast as I can. Thank you! :)

I wish you much success!
Colleen

I am with you Colleen, I want to build a business that I am proud of, that is not scammy, but provides real value to others, and one that lasts...and Wealthy Affiliate teaches how to do exactly that!πŸ˜€πŸ‘

Hi Jason. I read your story with great intrerest and found that I went through similar chalenges. I will look forward to seeing your next post and would be happy to learn from you too.

Thanks Dior for sharing. I think is comforting to know I am not alone...in my challenges...as well as our future successes!!!πŸ˜€πŸ‘

Congrats Jason!

You are right!

The most important thing to learn: what NOT to do!

Godspeed!

Thanks Smarketeer!πŸ˜€πŸ‘
