Can anyone explain to me please how using Street Articles helps your online business and how significant are the authorship rankings they give you? Thank you :0)

In General regarding SA and not necessarily the Discussion regarding rankings.......I wish that SA was no longer even part of the Training because I think people get more caught up in writing content for SA instead of writing content for their own sites, which to me is the most important priority.

Thank you Paul. That sounds like a plan - I will probably leave SA alone now and concentrate on my website content. I will do as you suggest and post to G+ etc. Jan

The idea with SA was that you would post an article about your favourite subject, and it would contain links to your affiliate site. Once there, hopefully someone would buy something. The biggest problem is that once something has been published you can't sensibly use it elsewhere as you'd be posting duplicate content, which Google doesn't like, and it could hurt your website's rankings.

I tend to write something on my website's blog, then advertise it on FB, Pinterest, Google+, Twitter and LinkedIn.

Yeah I write on my blog too. But I didn't even think about linking like that. Cool Paul!!! Man I love this community!!!!

Thank you for the clarification. I think this is the area where I struggle most. But it is becoming clearer :0)

After @RICH's discussion I think there is no ? now.

I've just made a pot of tea and I will settle down to read it now - thanks for the help Rich :0) Jan

You're most welcome! :) Rich.

Cheers Rich - I still need to get my head round everything. I suppose the frustration is that I'm obviously not getting my keywords right in order to rank on Google. I'm just going to keep adding content to my website and hopefully it will all come together at some point.

You try to use a single, relevant but different keyword for every page and post you create for your site. You put it in the title and first paragraph and write naturally around it. For example, one of your keywords for an orchid site might be "prune orchids", so for one post the title might be "How to prune orchids" and the first para might contain, "The best way to prune orchids is...". That's it! The All-In-One SEO fields etc. should be left blank on a Page and Post basis. It's worth bearing in mind that the rank of a Page or Post is never fixed, as your site become more of an authority the positions should improve dramatically. :) This is definitely worth a read too: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/domw/blog/what-seo-is-really Rich.

Here's Carson's definitive answer: "Once you have one or two articles on Street Articles (or another directory), focus 100% on your website. You do not need to have a ton of articles these days as your website will rank very well as you begin to publish content on it regularly." :) Rich.

Rich is exactly right. I was going to say almost the same thing. Kyle posted in chat several days ago to a similar question. He advised that the person just put All there articles on their site. I'm sure what Rich said IS correct too. Personally, I'm not using directories any longer.

So I've written my article and posted on my website but don't seem able to put my affiliate product links side by side. They seem to want to take a big space on their own. I w

Hi Randy thanks for the You Tube link - it's helped a lot :0)

Are you talking about having two image/text ads side by side in the text area like I have on this webpage with two different video game ads from Amazon? If so all I did was paste the html text provide by Amazon into the area I wanted it to appear in the "Text" area of the editor for the first game ad on the left and then I placed a space by tapping the spacebar on my computer keyboard and then pasted the html text for the next ad.

Thanks boomer that's exactly what I'm trying to do. Unfortunately I wrote all of the content first then tried to go back after to paste in my product links. It was then hard for me to see where to place the html provided by Amazon. I might have to redo my post at www.cuteclothesfordogs.com. what do you think?

I placed those ads a week after I had published the article so it is possible to place them after the page or post is already written.

thank you boomergp08 it worked great

Hi thank you I will get the plugin :0)
Hi Gordi, yes really good for getting your product links :0)

It took me a bit to figure out the tablepress plug in, too. Copy and paste the links into an excel table. open the tablepress tab on the left and click on import table. import your excel table and save. Go to the page you want the table on, in the icon bar, click on insert table and click on the table you created. save and preview. hope this helps

Just signed up with Amazon.com affiliate program. They have an aStore where I can add a store, with products I can select that are related to my website. Is this a good idea.? I like that fact that there would be a lot of products to choose from, but don't know anything about it.

A lot of people say that aStores don't convert as well within sites as individual product pages do. That's because you don have the chance to review products. Personally if I see astores I tend to just go direct to the site and look for myself - but that's just me.

Get Tablepress plug in. It's simple and should do what you are wanting.

Tablepress~from where? is that a WP plugin?

Yup, it's a plugin.... just took a look at it and it should do pretty much what ya' need it for. Once ya' login to your site, go to plugins and search for it. Should work nicely!

Errmmm well I've installed the plug in but have no idea what to do with it :( sorry for being so dense . . . is there a tutorial? Thanks

I'm sure I've read something about sharing articles you write for Street Articles. Can I tweet or add to Google + without alteration or do they need to be tweeked somewhat?

You can tweet about them or add them to google plus without alteration. You can do that directly from street articles.

Ahh thanks BIS :0)
