A Lesson about Content
You either have it, or you don't.
You either know what you're gonna write about, when you're gonna write it and why...or you don't.
If you create it, it will be genuine no matter what it is, whether it keeps peoples attention or not is what you find out along the way.
I bought another toy to add to my collection. It's a large collection and I should be doing reviews on it soon. I don't use most of it. It's for content creation.
We pay a lot of money for things to be convenient for us. Even most E-books or informational products are a result of the I want it now generation. That bodes well for some but at the end of the day, I am more of a consumer at times, then a producer. Most times, if you spent a little time researching for yourself, you probably don't need to buy an E-book or instant information for anything.
I think I learned my lesson yesterday after purchasing something that is supposed to build a post for me.
It copies it quickly, from viral sources and enables me to copy, edit, add my own stuff and publish.
I justified it because I figured it gives me the entertainment and I can add to it.
The demo video was short and sweet and seemed to sway me, despite realizing the lady was not actually writing or adding to her post.
At the end she quickly selected a video from the very limited selection and didn't give much reason as to why.
The demo ended with a review of how to put your amazon widgets into the same article with a quick call to action.
I learned that I could just search the same sites and copy and paste if I wanted to as well.
I will tell you I believe in attribution. Taking content, displaying it a little different but linking and giving credit to the original source.
I believe in doing this and adding good content to compliment it.
So if you are looking for a short cut to affiliate marketing I think I have to say there isn't one.
It all comes down to what you want to share and why, what you believe in and what you don't. Oh yeah, and whether your viewer, the person whos attention you are tryin get, agrees with you.
If I don't feel the vibe for my post, how will the reader.
With Affiliate Marketing, slow and steady wins the race. There is no shortcut to creating real, genuine, authentic content...without making it your own.

As one gets older, one realizes that there are really few shortcuts to monetary success outside of winning a lotto. We keep needing to learn thae lesson over and over in life.
That is not to say we should not try out new techniques and make new friends. It is what makes one's lifetime interesting, worthwhile and motivating enough to enjoy the journey. I am in no hurry to get to the end of the road even if there are deep ruts, curves, washed out bridges and no possibility of turning around.
The experience of 5 marriages has had its ups and downs, but I chose to look at it as a great learning experience. I may regret some decision I made, but outside of lessons learned, it is always the present and the future that are of most concern.
And that thought is from a guy who spends a great deal of time researching and discussing family history.
Thanks for the information about creating content - I will take a slightly different path.
It does seem we each have to learn certain things certain ways over certain amounts of time...
Thanks for stopping Roger.
