What I have learned about the mind and the heart
The mind is a truly fascinating thing, a creation of wonder and mystery. The things the mind can do to a human being is also just as phenomenal as the mind itself.
My life has been a somewhat spiritual struggle for its whole existence, always seeking knowledge, finding things to obsess about and continually seeking something higher than what is right now.
In this search of sacred knowledge that I believe existed to enable me to do marvellous things, I have discovered a very wonderful secret to life. This secret is not understood or cant be felt when the mind is hardened but truly profound when one hears it with an open heart. This secret is the heart itself, for many years I thought too much and felt too little.
I am now feeling more with my heart and not being selfish with my emotions and finding that I am more in tune with my goals, self discovery and most importantly doing what I love to do.
I just wanted to post this as I have felt a wonderful energy from this site and it has also proven to me that the heart is a solid business foundation as well as the key to great healing.
As Einstein once said :
The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honours the servant and has forgotten the gift.
I have been seeking a way to earn an income for approximately 8 years now, for this entire time I was thinking and not feeling, this I believe is the reason for my failure.
May this be a wonderful reminder.

You are well on your way, my friend. I will get all guru on you now and suggest something. You state: "continually seeking something higher than what is right now.". But i bet you know that there is no other time than NOW. There is no future or past excepts as constructs of mind. Peace can only be NOW.

I absolutely agree, that was once a paradigm I was trapped in, I realise NOW that the past and future only exist in the NOW!

Yes, Tolle is very good! He has a way of stating ancient knowledge that makes it accessible today. Also enjoy the Abraham books and talks. 'Cause, let's face it, Jesus, Buddha, Krisha - they all told us these things long ago...
It is beautiful, the mysteries of life are just enchanting. I for too long have been all about mind and neglected my hard, In the last 6 months I have had a few small openings and feel that a huge connection of heart and mind is taking place.
My entire life now is devoted to healing, self expression, love and learning. I have so much heart work to do and so many egos to destroy!
I also really like OSHO even though I find myself getting upset, well not myself my ego.
Which reminds me of what Jesus said "deny thyself" makes so much sense now.
Yea - Jesus was a pretty smart dude! One thing i learned, from many sources (if that makes sense), is that we cannot, nor should we strive, to "destroy' the ego. (or anything else) It needs not destruction, just love and understanding. It is part of you, and should be honored for it's contributions. We just must get above it, so that it lives in it's rightful place. Remember what Albert E said? Concerning 'mind"? "You cannot arrive at the solution to a problem with the same thinking that got you into it." "Thinking" can;t get you out. The only way out is through...
That was humbling. This is the wisest thing I have been told for a long time and I am very touched. This was not just a message from the cosmos for me but for a good friend of mine.
This is actually life changing advice for me.

I think from my own advice, instead of trying to figure it out I will just allow my heart to feel it.

What a beautiful post, Adem! Every now and then, often at bedtime, I am still and quiet and simply observe the thoughts and feelings within me. It's amazing what we can uncover and just how more at peace we can be with ourselves.
