Invite Followers with the Widget Builder on Pinterest
ADD A WIDGET TO YOU SIDEBAR!
Just a quick post to let you know about the Widget Builder on Pinterest. Yes, not only is it a great way to draw in Followers on Pinterest. But, it's also perfect for getting more eyes in front of all your website posts, other websites and stores!
Let me explain. As you write content for your website with related photos, for each post you write, you can Pin the images and use keyword rich text with them. Working with Pinterest to gain traffic to your sites and stores is the perfect way to interact with your followers and earn conversions! It's the Pinterest Strategy!
SO, HOW DO YOU CREATE SUCH A WIDGET?
First, you need a Business Account on Pinterest. Once you have established some Pins and Boards, you can build a widget.
All you have to do is fill out the information at Widget Builder on Pinterest:
- Write the URL of the Board you wish to create a widget for.
- Choose the size of your widget.
- View the preview.
- Cut and Paste the code into your sidebar, or whereever you want to display your Pinterest widget. Note: Make sure you add the </BODY> tag on the line below your code, and then copy & paste the other added code they provide right next to it. You will see what I mean when you go there.
DONE!
That's it! Now, you have a widget that will take people directly to your business Pinterest Board from your website! The widgets it creates are very cool, with a sliderbar to view all your current Pins!
I use Pinterest for all my websites, My Shopify Store, and to sell my published books. I've created multiple Boards with multiple categories in each Board--and multiple Pins in each category!
By now, you are probably thinking I'm obsessed with Pinterest and post Pinterest overkill. LOL. But, truthfully, there are so many ways to expand on the platform to make the most of creating success!

What a terrific idea. Do people come to your website from looking at pictures on pin interest?
I look at photos of girl guitarists on pin interest and have a Glamourous guitarist file but still working out how to link the two.
Most of the process you described I am beginning to understand, just some of the jargon is so new to me.
Great blog thanks.
Lily 😊
Yes, Lily! Google Analytics confirms that a huge percentage comes from Pinterest.
Every time you post a Pin (photo) from your website, you type in the link to it with a keyword rich description. People that type your keywords in the Pinterest search find your Pin. When people click on your Pin, they are taken to your post!
Erin :)!
This is good to know.. I will sign up for the business account first thing tomorrow.
I love Pinterest Almost as much as I love YouTube.
Thanks Erin
