Are You Doing What You Were Born To Do?

Last Update: April 25, 2016

Do you ever wonder if the work you do is the best fit for you? Are you struggling to find passion in your work?

If so, maybe that's why you came to Wealthy Affiliate.

Still, maybe you've been writing on your blog faithfully for a little while. but it just seems like a drag to write about this topic over and over again.

Still yet, maybe you know what you're good at or passionate about, but aren't sure how to make money from this, even with an affiliate website.

I just finished reading Chris Guiilebeau's new book called "Born For This: How To Find the Work You Were Meant To Do," and I highly recommend that you check it out.

In his book, he explains different ways you can find your dream job, whether it be full-time, a side hustle you work on while still having regular employment, or ways to create your dream job by simply become indispensable at your current employment

He also provides detailed methods to help you find the intersection of joy, money, and flow, helping you not only find your dream job, but also your dream flow.

It's made me think quite a bit about what work I want to do in the next stage of my life. It's also helped me realize that I may need to start another website altogether within Wealthy Affiliate that better intersects my passions and the ability to generate an income.

Reading this book may help you confirm that you already have your dream job, or it may just inspire you to try an entirely new path that is more satisfying to you, even within Wealthy Affiliate.

You can purchase the book on Amazon by clicking on this link below. Note: This is NOT an affiliate link :-). I just really liked the book and wanted to share it with you.

Thanks for sharing! I always tell my kids, we were all blessed with talents that fuel our passion for work. Find out what those talents are and make career decisions based on those, not on someone's idea of what you should do.
Best of luck to you!

Hi Chris:

This is a great post. It reminds everyone that no matter what your background and passion is, you can find true calling within WA because we are all after working on different niche websites. I know I have some websites that I want to start building that are closer to my passions. Now finding the time is the key. :)

Thanks Chris for posting this.

Thanks for sharing such a great book to read, as well as your insights. We are all after one thing, I believe, which is finding our true purpose in life. I'm hoping WA can help me find and develop it, as well as everyone else's. Good luck :)

Thank you for the kind words Pearl. I totally agree with you and hope you can find and develop your purpose through WA.

For me, WA has definitely been the starting point for me to truly understand how I can work from home for myself in ways that I never imagined I could. I'm still a long way off from this, but I believe it's a start.

This book has just helped me realize that what I really like to write about is a little different than the career I've chosen to work in over the past 20 years.

Glad to help!

I hope you reach your goals soon! I'm fairly new at this, but so far I've learned so much within 7 days, that I believe I can learn even more :)

I've been here about 4 months and I know I'm just scratching the surface!

Keep at it and be patient. Don't let yourself become overwhelmed by all of the information. Take it one step at a time and go at your own pace.

You will do great!
