It Hit When I Wasn't Looking
I'm sure you've been blindsided by something before, whether bad news, an unexpected promotion, an unexpected expense, or a surprise visit from a friend.
Sometimes we're excited about the surprise that blindsided us, and sometimes we wish we could hit the reset button and start the day again without the news we receive.
Although my website has been live for about 3 months now, I haven't had as much time or inspiration as I thought I would to create regular content. I know I'm still going through the training courses, and trying new things as well.
Even though I have only been able to create new content every 1-2 weeks, I have been regularly posting my content on social media, and getting engaged with new people in my niche. It's been a great learning experience.
But still, I felt somewhat disappointed with the lack of traffic to my site, the few comments I've received, and no money earned.
But, then I was blindsided. I just happened to look at my Amazon Associates account yesterday, and found out that I earned my first commission with Amazon of $8.64 on 3/31.
That was the kind of blindsiding I needed at that moment. Just a sliver of encouragement that my site is getting noticed, and people must like my content or they wouldn't stick around.
I am getting noticed. I know it's been slow, but so has my posting frequency.
Once I am able to start posting more, and researching more, visitors will come. I have a great niche that is wide open at this point. I just need to take the time to capitalize on it and create that oh-so-important useful and quality content.
You can do it too! It does take time, energy, and hard work. But you can do it!
Blessings y'all,
