Hi - this message has come through to the community, not Kyle.

When you send a message to Kyle, it gives you the option of clicking on one of six boxes.

Pick one of the three boxes on the bottom row, even if they don't seem appropriate.

Otherwise, your message won't reach him directly.

Thank You Diane.

I was wondering where the threshold is for quoting sources within a blog post and getting flagged by google for plagiarizing. My niche is luxury camping or "glamping". As an ex

Hi - in my opinion, a direct quote should be no more than one sentence, even if you cite the source.

Google will simply see it as duplicate content and is unlikely to rank a post highly if it contains any material already published elsewhere.

Hi - yes, Google uses optical character recognition to read the text in an image.

So, unfortunately, adding potential duplicate content to an image won't work!

Thanks, Diane. Sounds like it's better to just summarize in my own words.

Looks like you are well covered here with some excellent advice, and guidance by Abie.

I agree that I would put this passage into your own unique voice/ words. The only real time I use a quote is when it from a very authoritative source — such as scientific or academic study.

Please let us know if you still have any questions.

Plagiarism is always going to land you in trouble somewhere down the line Anink. Be sure to always use full citations when referencing an article. Check the site out and their backlinks too. Mr Google will not be a happy chap if you don't!

Paul

Up to 5%.

I would change the wording and write my take original in my own words.
