How Wealthy Affiliate Can Shield You From Bitcoin Recruiters

Of the 4,900 friends I have in Facebook, almost 50% of them are promoting business opportunities. Half of them are Bitcoin recruiters.

I know their game because, I used to be a Bitcoin recruiter myself.

Bitcoin is a digital currency that has gone up in popularity. So, as expected, opportunists from everywhere saw the opportunity, starting their own investment companies dealing with Bitcoin.

Aside from new Bitcoin investment companies being started almost everyday, another group of people who are more adventurous, are creating their own coins claiming they will be the next Bitcoin or probably better and bigger than Bitcoin.

Everybody's creating his or her own coin, contributing to the madness that's happening right now, and Facebook is one of their playgrounds.

Tired of solicitations to join and invest, I raised my two hands up in surrender, "Enough for this! I'm out!!"

Following my decision, I posted in my timeline that I'd be joining Wealthy Affiliate again, and if anyone needs help with regard to blogging and SEO, I can be asked again.

People were shocked. And I bet, the guys that were affected much are those about to recruit me to their latest coins.

Suddenly, the leader of Bitcoin recruiters quits recruiting for Bitcoin!

Friends were wondering what happened, and even if they are not telling me personally that they're not happy with my decision, I can sense their disappointment.

One of my close friends who are not involved in the madness was laughing, "You see? They stopped recruiting you. And do you know the reason why?"

"Instead putting yourself in their eyes as a 'prospect', you have positioned yourself now as a 'coach'. You are now their coach in the field they know little about, like blogging and SEO."

And he's right. Suddenly, they were all gone. No more PMs about the latest coin or ICO, no more tagging, etc.

I realized I now have an excuse for not joining them, or in a nicer description, "a shield" against recruiters!

"Oh, sorry my friend, I'm afraid I will not be able to do that business you're proposing because, I am now busy coaching people in WA."

"Oh sorry, no time for that, I'm busy right now building niche sites."

"I don't have money to invest in that, I just paid Wealthy Affiliate premium membership."

"Oh, you came late! I spent the money buying domains.. no money now to buy ICO of your Wonder Coin."

I stay clear from Bitcoins. I am certain I am going to get scammed. I know little about it, but never get a good feeling when I come across Bitcoin recruiters.

But it does give me a great idea. Maybe I can also start my own online currency and declare myself a millionaire. LOL.

Yes, there are a lot of Bitcoin recruiters out there now and it is getting out of hand. When you give in to a recruiter, soon you will find yourself becoming a recruiter too. Problems arise when people suddenly become disappointed. So, to avoid being blamed, it is better to stay clear or if you still want to ride Bitcoin boom, perhaps just buying some and parking them on a online wallet will be enough.

Being well-informed really does allow you to make decisions that are in alignment with your goals. They say ignorance is bliss...sometimes it can prove to be detrimental.

Love how you handled this, Gomer. Just like a gentleman!

Thank you. Sometimes, it's really a challenge turning down a friend's proposal, you need to deal with it in a nice gentle way.

great information, You are well to be here and away from them.
have a wonderful day!

Thanks. I really am having a great time here, back in the circulation, learning and building a business that will last a lifetime.

Hi Gomer, a great article. I agree with you Facebook is loaded with information regarding Bitcoin. Irv.

Almost everywhere I look, especially in groups, too many of them. lol

Haha that's a really interesting post, Gomer! I have little knowledge about crytocurrency, just knowing that they are sort of "getting out of hand" recently. Thanks for sharing your experience and your thoughts :)

I love this and a great way to promote WA

paul

Thanks, Paul. I do believe it can really go up and up, Bitcoin and some alt coin. But thinking of the end scenario, let's say it has peaked to one million dollars per Bitcoin, what's next?

That brought me back here (WA). A business that's endless. Perhaps, others are thinking the same (same with mine) and are just taking the opportunity of the value going up. But once it nears peak, they gonna sell off for profit.

Gomer, the scams are out there. Your advice will keep them at bay

And another thing...

Scammy affiliates stop promoting or will run away from you when you tell them that you are associated with Wealthy Affiliate.

It seems like they are aware you can't easily be recruited! lol

Hi! Gomer, Congratulations for knowing when and how to pick and choose and chew to move on. A good informative post.

Best to success,

James

Thank you. You made me laugh with that term, "chew to move on".

Great! :)

It appears deprivation can incite hobbling against scams!

It's a funny game we play. But for someone not careful and not knowing how the recruiting game is being played online, it might end up being broke or hurt.

I feel for those friends who are caught in the vicious cycle of joining every shiny thing your friends peddle. And it is usually hard to turn down a friend's asking. It is here that the quote is applicable:

"All the mistakes I ever made were when I wanted to say "NO" and said "YES".
