OK I wasn't going to provide an update but after reading a few WA posts I thought ....no best I do post so that ]I might help others who find themselves in my position!

On the 30th July I followed my WA training in Level 4 and applied for a Google AdSense account but after 1 day I found out that I was rejected because of a possibility of various reasons.

I have copied and pasted Google's possible reasons below. But I personally think it is because I do not have enough content on my pages. I was advised early in WA to ensure minimum of 1,000 words per page and I'm now working on that. I will keep you posted once I re-apply for AdSense.....All I'm changing is increasing my page content then I'll await Google feedback. The below info is so that you are aware of what Google are looking for:

To resolve this issue, please work through the following suggestions:

  • Make sure that your pages have sufficient text - websites that contain mostly images, videos or Flash animations will not be approved.
  • Your content should contain complete sentences and paragraphs, not only headlines.

And there was heaps more requirements the list was veryyyy long....

Cheers GIna

Well I guess reading all these comments that it happens more often then it should, but I dont think that even Kyle can understand WHY google does what it does sometimes...MORE content definitely helps! And they should approve you then! Good luck!
Tom

Gina, I just got the same notice today. However, my content is more than a 1,000 words on each of my 4 posts, and also is the case with my 7 pages average 1,,300 words per page. My content contains more text than 93% of my peers.

I believe that I have met all of the requirements in their list of 6 suggestions to work through.

One thing I did notice was that my pages/posts have no SEO Title and no SEO Description. Are they supposed to have them?

I also saw a side comment that said one of the criteria for approval is to have sufficient traffic to the website. As my website is not fully completed (I'm on :Level 3, Lesson 7, Task 4. This may be the reason for non-approval...site is still in development and test.

Your thoughts, please.

Thanks, Art

Thank you Gina for bringing this issue to everyone's notice. I thought I was the only one among many and felt so discouraged. But this makes me feel better that they are many of us and I too got the same list, i think they send the same list to everyone.

You're most welcome...I'm currently working on a new post on my website....I'm aiming for at least a minimum of 3,000 words (currently at 2,000).....then I'll add more page content and I'll reapply within the next couple of weeks....so I'll keep people posted on my progress!
Cheers Gina

3000 wow, I always had most of my posts with 2000 and the least were with 1000 but still I did not get approved which just happened yesterday. I also have to use videos as it is yoga website and I cant stop that :). But I will also try and increase my content and see. Thank you for keeping me posted, really appreciate it.

Very good advice Gina.
I'm sure Adsense will approve your account, in time :)

Gina don't worry I had the same thing happen. It was in June though but I did more of the training and I created a sidebar with Categories on it so my site was more organized and I was just approved 3 days ago. It will happen do few more lessons and then reapply you will than get approved. Don't get discouraged, I did and it's all for nothing. It will happen for you. We are all here for you and we will all cheer when you are approved.

When it comes to adsense it's a crapshoot. And you got the same message as everyone else who doesn't get accepted. I to wasnt accepred. Kyle said dont sweat it. Dont rely on adsense and in some cases adsense can even be a hinderence to your sight. Focus on affiliate products and if adsense accepts you then great.. have avsuper great day

Thank you sooo much for your input it certainly makes me feel a lot more competent in what I'm doing!

You have a great weekend too

Cheers Gina
