Enable 2FA (Use Google Authenticator if not using iThemes Pro), enable lockdown and ban, if not already using then force backend SSL, disallow file editing, enable brute force attack protection, modify your login URL, filter long strings, strong password enforcement, iThemes will let you do all of these.

In addition change your little password to something longer and more complex.

A couple more things you could do too, but that should stop almost all hack attempts.

Also, remember there is nothing you can do about the server security itself unless you own the server or have access to such settings, and this is another reason sites get hacked, poor server and database security.
